    Championship thread 23/24

They are absolute experts at scoring last minute goals. A great trait for a team. Ridiculous amount of goals after the 80th minute recently or at least it seems! They will get spanked in the prem if they go up though. Which I think they will

Match Thread Coventry City - Rotherham United FC Match Thread - Tuesday 5th Mar

Almost like he's only played one game in 5 months... With next to no minutes off the bench

    Liverpool v Forest Referee

Mentioned this on another thread a while ago. This has become pretty much a non-thing within reason. Speaking to a few premier league referees, this was exactly how it was for the first 6 weeks of VAR - hence no involvements for the first 6 weeks. After this they were getting a lot of pressure...

    Liverpool v Forest Referee

Exactly. I actual think most issues are completely over analysed by pundits who often don't understand the laws of the game. There have been some like the Diaz offside against spurs which were howlers, with fundamental flaws. But things like this are just pundits creating headlines. Fucking Mike...

    Liverpool v Forest Referee

I have no idea on this one myself. Like you I have a hunch that it would be drop ball to the keeper, be interested if it was something else? Although was the referees positioning off as I have no idea how he's in the line of a shot?

    Liverpool v Forest Referee

I will add however, using the arguement of 'he made the same mistake for forest earlier in the game' doesn't fly for me. It's why I hate the argument for consistency of decisions. Making a constantly wrong decision doesn't make it better. If he makes a mistake it shouldn't justified by saying...

    Liverpool v Forest Referee

100% sorry poor wording by me. I meant in the sense, you work as a team at that level, so he would have to advise very quickly over Comms which is very unlikely. But yeah totally right.

    Liverpool v Forest Referee

Did he see it? Or was he busy? The 4th official is probably the busiest of the 4 (if used correctly which may not be the case) I don't know, I'm not him, but it take an exceptional official to overrule the referee from the touchline as very easy to be distracted.

    Liverpool v Forest Referee

Because they would be officiating from St George's park.... People can't complain that VAR doesn't work and then ask it get involved with such menial decisions, it's a human game, errors happen. People are searching for perfect officiating, it's not possible.

    Liverpool v Forest Referee

Who knows either way. The goal was 2 minutes later with about 4 phases of play in between that. It was a mistake by Tierney no doubt. But that's refereeing. Just like players they will make mistakes, very annoying for forest of course.

    unrest behind the scenes

Exactly. If this was the case then the old guard would be getting minutes as the only ones who are clearly trying.

Match Thread West Bromwich Albion - Coventry City Match Thread - Friday 1st Mar

Saddle I think you are a pretty reliable contact but there must be a lot more info behind this. (Unless you contact is robins himself) if Robins wants him to stay, and King is outright refusing to listen then MR is surely going to walk soon. From what we know of MR he isn't going to let Robins...

Saka and sheaf were the two I was saying. Clearly Robins thinks the other 3 are better options for this game. They are available and part of the team. There isn't a midfielder in the back 3. He's a CB.

Match Thread West Bromwich Albion - Coventry City Match Thread - Friday 1st Mar

We are only missing two players to injury in that line up... I would argue that we probably don't have a top 6 side in general then if you believe that.

    Fa Cup tonight

They have still produced the talents. Why does it matter if it's 2/3 years compared to 6/7? It's fantastic for the country more than anything that young British players are getting opportunities at such a big club. And the academy is rightly getting plaudits for providing the players (again even...
