Yes. But just as us finishing 9th doesn't suddenly make the likes of Kelly & Tavares quality championship players, finishing 23rd doesn't mean they're all shit.
Got to take them in context though. Hudds finished 23rd and scored 48, us 9th/70. You'd expect the same player to look much better statistically playing for us than them.
Chances created is a low quality stat imo, assuming this is Opta's methodology.
It's just assists + passes to a player who shoots. So doesn't really describe that much about creating good chances, just means the receiver had a shot.
That's a ridiculous comment.
Rudoni has been a nailed on starter in the championship this season. In fact, he has comparable/better stats to Palmer while playing for a much worse team.
Hamer was over 1m, 1.5m EUR was qouted at the time.
We were a relegation threatened club with a limited budget. Now we're promotion chasers with a bigger budget, obviously fees will rise.
Preston have offered him a club record contract so he won’t be cheap.
He wouldn’t no because he’s 29.
I’m just saying DK isn’t going to overpay. At most he would match our highest earners I think.
“Knee surgery” covers all variety of sins.
ACL reconstruction- obviously not.
Minor cleanup job- much less of a concern.
If the recovery is only six weeks you’d expect him to be fully fit again in July. They’d do a comprehensive medical too.
opened thread expecting a discussion about var, state ownership, ffp, multi club groups, tv deals etc. etc.
got a half brained, incredibly convoluted 2nd/3rd choice goalie loan system instead
Just browsed the Werder forum (via google translate) to see if they had any opinions on the friendly. Didn't find much, but this passage could've been lifted straight from SBT (minus the stilted translation).
Palmer’s ok but I don’t see him improving much and he’s not good enough to start every week if we want promotion. Getting a fee for him would be great business assuming we brought in a replacement.
Plus we’d save the equivalent of a small nation’s GDP in wages.
