The thing with Kitching is we signed him as Barnsley’s club captain on deadline day. That is a recipe for getting shafted on the fee no matter where the player is coming from. He’d get far less criticism if he cost a million or two less.

Nah. Playing on the left as an inside forward is his best position. And how many goals are we actually conceding down the left? Not many, our right hand side is the much bigger issue.

Wright, Simms, Sakamoto Probably Bassette & Thomas Maybe even Dovin and Torp. also, just because we don’t get a “return” on a player doesn’t mean the money is wasted.

Wright plays the position perfectly as an inside forward. He actually does play wide out of possession.
