    Our squad

Suggesting we immediately turn into Stoke or Watford with one managerial change is nonsense. This isn't Mark Robins FC, it's Coventry City FC. What you're suggesting just sounds like it's coming from completely the wrong place.

I'm not denigrating anything. Just saying that defensive solidity has generally been the #1 priority. We have tried to play more expansive football at times, but it hasn't bought us success. It's obviously subjective as well. I didn't regard the L1 low scoring 5221 as particularly attractive...

Yeah and we now have a top heavy squad where even our defenders have generally been signed more for their ability on the ball/going forward than defensive attributes. Robins is becoming the odd one out imo

    Our squad

People love to talk about attitude, mentality etc, whatever you want to call it. Unfortunately for the vast majority of players, if they don't believe in what they're being told to do by the coaches and manager, it will simply be impossible for them to perform at their maximum. I don't know if...

How? I'd say the only time we've played attractive football was for a month or two last season. We've consistently been fairly low scoring and defensively solid playing conservative football. You look at our greatest successes under him - winning L1, playoffs in the champ and both times we...

    1. There's no way this squad should be in a relegation battle like we were when we first came up. 2. We've basically never played attractive football under Robins.

Don't agree, they're an easy scapegoat when we're conceding goals but they're not the problem.

    Next manager thread

It's not entrenched at all, I thought he was improving then at QPR he'd forgotten how to kick a ball. It was painful to watch him trying to control it.

    Ex Player Watch

Been getting good minutes for Brighton too. Looks like he was actually a good spot from our scouts, just didn’t use him effectively.

    Our squad

Our squad is absolutely fine. A central midfielder and a full back or two off being a solid top 6 outfit. Obviously people are understandably loyal to Robins, so criticise players instead, but there’s really nothing wrong with the majority of them.

    Transfer Rumour Brandon Thomas-Asante

Yawn, terrible take. Been our best player this season.

Drop Wright because? We don't like scoring goals?

Well seeing as it is impossible I guess we'll never know.

    And with that Simms chance....

Can’t believe people haven’t worked Simms out yet. Watch his goals back from last season. They’re all crosses, headers, one or two touch finishes. That’s what he does and he’s good at it. The rest he’s pretty crap at. If we can create those chances he’s worth having on the pitch, otherwise not.

He’s going to lose his job if we don’t start consistently playing well. You can’t scrape a win every week.

It might do but I actually think we’re on the wrong path with the 532. We’re playing worse in it than we were with 4 at the back, if we play it on Saturday and win it could do us more harm than good.

Obviously a win is better than a loss. But scraping a win with a poor performance isn't going to increase my optimism for the season. We could've got a win on Tuesday, would still have been a crap performance. At this point I'm pretty resigned to the fact we're not getting top 6, I really...

At this point it does matter how. If they miss a load of chances and we score our only one it's still worrying. Our performance has gone steadily downhill since Blackburn, we're getting worse not better.
