    This Time Last Year

Yup. But surely, if we can sort this shit-fest out, it won't be too long before we do? How typical would it be though, that we do it for the first time in 40 years this season, only to miss out because of the points deduction? Bound to happen. One day Rodney, one day.

    At this precise moment....

...in a parallel universe, a much more fortunate version of myself is leaving the house to make the short walk to the Cherry Tree to sink a few, before going on to watch a promising young city side romp to 3 points. I look out the window today and think what a perfect day it is for football...

    This Time Last Year

Well quite, but that's because we were run by idiots at that point (in a footballing sense I mean). That doesn't mean to say they would prefer that we are not promoted. There would be no obligation to pay contracted players more than what they are currently on (aside from a promotion bonus...

    This Time Last Year

I guess they won't, but there's nothing wrong with a dose of optimism now and again is there? Surely one day we'll have out moment in the sun? If you don't believe that then what's the point?

    This Time Last Year

There are some weird conspiracies doing the rounds, but the one that says SISU would deliberately scupper our promotion chances to avoid paying higher wages in the Championship is the most crazy of them all. Trust me, if we achieved promotion in this of all seasons, you wouldn't be able to get...

    Arsenal ticket prices?

If it is CAT C no way the average price will be that, even if no children watched the game: http://www.arsenal.com/tickets/member-ticket-prices

    Arsenal ticket prices?

To get that you'd be looking at a full house paying an average of £37 per ticket. Think it will be more like 400-500K.

    Arsenal ticket prices?

You have just made that up I think. Tickets start at £25 for category C games and £35 for category B. Your figures assumes the average is £58 a ticket, so I guess no children or OAPs ever attend games at the Emirates (if they did ticket prices start at £10). You have to remember that the...

    Arsenal ticket prices?

It will be 15-20 quid. It was £12 in the league cup last season and didn't we pay £15 at Spurs?

    its great

It has more to do with tiredness I think. We don't like it when teams get in our faces and press us in our own half, and teams tend to do this early in the game, but as the game goes on we get a bit more room to play and it suits us.

The Sky Blue Army at Barnsley !!

I think you might have just made that up? The number of police was entirely consistent with the size of the following and it seemed a pretty hands off police presence for the most part. Closing the bar might well be club policy. I don't think the followings at place like MK, Vale, Wolves...

    Preston away

No, we have sold a couple of hundred. The block looks sold out only because they open up the seats for sale in stages going from front to back.

    Weather in Barnsley

Forecast is for no rain of note up there past 10am this morning, so shouldn't be an issue.

    Wilson dive

Was right in line and he was clipped. No complaints from their manager and the player walked with no objections. Not sure why we would stir up controversy when clearly there isn't any (not over the foul in any case).

Here in Rotherham. Bit of light drizzle. Stop fretting.

I disagree to an extent but I understand your logic and reasoning so fair enough. I could argue that they did try to buy the Higgs share 18 months ago, but that has been done to death and I know people have differing opinions as to what really went on there. Meanwhile this shit-fest continues...

First question is that I honestly don't know, but they will have to turn the tap off at some point as they don't have a bottomless pit of money surely? This is why I think something will give long before 2018/19 (which was what the other poster was suggesting was their target time period for...

    Coventry city (afc) ltd

I was thinking more of the logistics than the cut off for applications, and also the appetite is not there just yet, but give it another 12 months and that will change.

It comes down to this, do you really think they will deliberately lose tens of millions over 5 years simply as a tactic to possibly shave a million or two off the purchase price of the Ricoh? What they are doing now is a calculated gamble, and yes, we can only speculate as to their true motive...

    Coventry city (afc) ltd

I see no harm in starting to put these things in place now. It's practically 2014, so probably too late for next season, so the earliest we might see a new club is for the 2015/16 season, and I think the vast majority will have had enough by then (especially if we don't see a new stadium rising...
