Usually it is the selling club that insist on non-disclosure. I suspect D&R had much more to gain from the Jones sale being undisclosed than CCFC. If the fee they accepted was less than the 300K Charlton offered, then they would have to answer serious questions from their own supporters, so...

Agree. Expected him to be a big player for us this season. Played well when given a run in the side at the end of last season. I would be more disappointed if we lost him than I was with the Vincelot sale.

Nothing like a good SBT analogy to end the day :)

To be fair, I did start throwing insults around, but it was hard not to. A very odd place. Seemed to be getting a lot of those red thumb things and it was starting to hurt my feelings :(

Right. Had a little foray into CT territory and feel like I've been raped. Not going back there anytime soon, feel traumatised.

    Ricoh pitch

To be fair, before I am accused of being a monster because sacking people is horrible, he did do something that warranted it. The fact he was a Wasps fan (from Cov yes) put a little gloss on it. His Wasps mug didn't last long. Think the lads in the warehouse had a little kickabout with it.

    Ricoh pitch

Once had a Wasps fan work with me. I fired him. Least he deserved.

But it is all you have done, strained every sinew in your body to shift the focus away from the council/CSF/Wasps and direct it all toward SISU for their apparent inability to make the most of the 180 seconds of glory today in front of a committee who already had their decision ready. What is...

And there we have it. A prime example. Amazing how much time and effort people spend analysing the minutiae of statements, emails and off-the-cuff comments in an attempt the justify the actions of those conspiring against us. Here's an idea, spend that time lobbying those people who are...

Latest CCFC letter on planning application - Planning Meeting

I have read many half-baked theories on these forums over the years, I've probably written one or two myself, but the idea that Wasps will buy CCFC is up there with the best of them. About as believable as David Icke's shape shifting lizard theory.

Latest CCFC letter on planning application - Planning Meeting

So, to summarise, it was all a stitch-up. The academy is doomed, and yet all some people seem concerned about is finding reasons (sometimes desperately so) to justify the stitch-up. I won't go as far to say that some people wanted today's outcome, but it's hard not to make that judgement given...

    Season tickets?

Away tickets are handled by the club, which is understandable as the club have to physically have the tickets in order to sell them at the Butts, but there is still a £1 charge on every ticket for ticketmaster fees even if you pay by cash as all sales are processed through the system.

Match Thread Swindon v Coventry Match Thread - Saturday 6th Aug (15:00 Kick Off)

The concern about our defence is valid, but if you look at the side that won 2-0 at Oldham on the last day of the season, I'd say the team we're likely to field on Saturday is no weaker: Charles-Cook Vincelot Stephens Harries Hunt Fleck Rose Bigirimana Thomas Armstrong Lameiras

What Other Team Forums Say Thread!

There's a prediction thread on onefootballforum: http://onefootballforum.co.uk/index.php?threads/league-1-predictions.11655/ One has us to win it :woot:. Few for play-offs, few for relegation, most in the middle of nowhere it seems. Nobody has a clue basically.

    Tuesday signings

None of the team will have played together? We have lost out to other clubs, but they are mainly Championship clubs who are able to pay far higher wages. Perhaps we have aimed too high? People would probably still moan if we brought in some L2 journeymen. I look around L1 and see Sheff Utd...

Yeah, staggering. Our squad cannot be that threadbare if people can afford to leave Jones on the bench.

    Time is a great healer......But !

I think it's universal to a point - but perhaps the cynicism is more prevalent here. I remember a couple of sessions ago Leicester fans at work were scathing when it looked like they were going to be relegated. After seeing Leicester lose at Swansea one even said he'd never go again while...

Match Thread Swindon v Coventry Match Thread - Saturday 6th Aug (15:00 Kick Off)

Over time you will, but last season we started well and ended well, and clearly found it hard going over the winter. That's not theory, it's fact. I'm referring to Saturday as a one off game - the young players, players who might get found out over a long hard season, will at least go into...

Match Thread Swindon v Coventry Match Thread - Saturday 6th Aug (15:00 Kick Off)

Fancy a win but would take a draw all things considered. Swindon look a poor side. Our youth and inexperience might not be too much of a hindrance - it's not a wet Tuesday in February. Looks like it might be warm and sunny, pitch will be perfect, so ideally suited to teams who like to get it...

    Time is a great healer......But !

If a whole season at Sixfields and gates of 2500 didn't do the trick then nothing will. There are only about 5000 paying customers at home games as ST money is already banked. Stay away for 2 games and it'd make a dent in the finances and all they'd do is reduce the playing budget or sell a...
