    crowd next saturday

Club now saying it's the fault of Ticketmaster. Will be back on sale this morning I'm sure.

    crowd next saturday

I went up the match my own wedding day. Got married, watched us draw 1-1 with Reading, then went to the reception. Mother in law wasn't impressed.

    crowd next saturday

Just a few people going low 5K; when with STs, match tickets already sold (around 1K I'm told) and likely away following, we'd get 5.5K even we didn't sell another ticket between now and the game. Not that it matters - the crowd will be what it is. Do sense that one or two people are hoping...

    crowd next saturday

Find it odd that some people are predicting a crowd lower than the number of tickets already sold with a week to go.

Match Thread Nuneaton Town Match Thread (5.45PM Sunday)

Seems to get a lot of stick to me. There was a game last season, can't remember who as the whole season was a blur, where he was having a good game. He then had an iffy few minutes and gave the ball away a couple of times and people were out of their seats calling for him to be taken off. He's...

Match Thread Nuneaton Town Match Thread (5.45PM Sunday)

Agree, if I were him I'd move on. Bags of ability and still a nipper but won't happen for him here.

    crowd next saturday

It was about 5k. Some silly predictions here. It'll be comfortably over 7k for the 1st game. What happens after that will depend on results. £24 to buy on the day does worry me though.

So , what do we all reckon for 2017/18 season ?

Quietly confident. I was reasonably impressed today. We looked solid, organised and the shape was good. We were winning second balls all over the pitch, and I can't remember saying that very often recently. Didn't really go for us in front of goal today, but the chances we did have fell to...

    train station

Yep, new entrance and new station building to go where the Rocket used to be. Not actually part of Friargate, it's a separate development. There will almost certainly be a pub/bar included in the new station building, definitely a need for one as passenger numbers at Cov station continue to soar.

    150 to 1

I've done a bit of 'arbing'. Those bets are out there, and there is software that will point you in the direction of these 'no lose' bets. In theory, with enough capital, you could make a fortune, the problem is the bookies will eventually spot it and ban you or place restrictions on your...

Kit Launch Q and A Match Thread

I'm the other way, love the away kit with the raglan sleeves, but think the home kit is just bland and wishy-washy (but I'm probably in a minority on that). It's all about personal preference I guess. Most importantly though, I think they will both sell well.

    ST sales

You're welcome to count the dots on the ticket map if you really want to know! It looks about right at a quick glance to be fair, certainly seems quite a few shifted today, which is understandable as it is payday for many.

    ST sales

Your opinion is fine, and I have not challenged your right to one, so not sure why you are labouring that point. My point is that revenues might not be impacted all that much by reduced sales of say 1000 given that potentially more people will buy game by game paying £22 rather than £13. But...

    ST sales

It mirrors last season - eb ended at end of May and was extended 1 week into June, so it's the same. Actually, I was referring to away followings at the Ricoh, and we retain pretty much all of those receipts.
  15. T

    ST sales

They extend it every year, I don't see the need to over analyze it. Sales have exceeded most people's expectations, and there was never a doubt there would be fewer than last season, but they don't seem far behind. Ironically, if we do well, revenues may go up if there are more people paying...

    ST sales

Not really, because the 3010 figure from last season would have also included the 'free' JSB tickets sold at that point. It is a direct comparison, but obviously still down. They're not really 'free' anyway - they cost £25 as you have to purchase JSB membership to get one.

    ST sales

It will be a bigger number anyway. Many people will be waiting for payday at the end of the month. We're all renewing Tuesday. Imagine a few will go this weekend too. Perhaps 3500 by end of eb and 4000 by start of season.

    General Election

Not sure it has much to do with the media narrative, more a case of that people are not a stupid as we sometimes believe. It is perfectly reasonable that people will question Corbyn's credentials to be the leader of the world's 5th largest economy, member of the G8 and permanent member of the...

    General Election

It's not unspeakable, there are just questions over the merits. If raising tax were to result in the extra revenues claimed then fine, but these calculations are largely based on fag packet calculations. It's grossly simplistic to say that raising tax will result in a guaranteed and defined...

    General Election

The free school meals programme will certainly miss people are worthy of receiving it, and I believe there should be a system of auto-registration as many people who are entitled to it don't apply. The threshold I believe is £16,000, and clearly, anyone with a total household income that low...
