Game was very nearly called off. Police didn't want it to go ahead. Serious safety concerns apparently. This is some sort of compromise. I'm sure people will call bullshit, but this came from somebody senior at Barnsley. They hadn't even told CCFC the game was in doubt.

Just got tickets. You consider not going to games like this, but then what else is there to do on a Wednesday night in Ash Green? Couple of beers before the game, watch the city and laugh at some giddy teenagers from Northampton giving it large on their big night out. Lovely stuff.

He is right though. Easily walkable from the town centre. Loads of pubs. Went into town for the cup tie a few years and had a great day. Can't remember the names of the pubs, I was pissed, but Barnsley is one of the better away days in this league if you're going by train and fancy a few...

Dhillons by the ground was a big success too, some teething issues and I know the queues were crazy, but apparently they're going to open 2 extra bars for the next game. Good to have these options now.

Atmosphere was outstanding second half. Some mad scenes at the end. Bodies everywhere. People were even leaping over the netting from the main stand.

There was so much talk about how many people were going there, to only open 1 bar was a bit naive. They'll sort it for next game. Not complaining really, just feel for them a bit.

Ah man, Dhillons totally misjudged this. Insane queues. At least I can't get wankered now.

Big queues already. This is the equivalent of 11.45 for a Sat game 😂. Think they totally underestimated how busy they were going to be.

Done a good job at Dhillons. Fair few here already, but you could probably get 700-800 in here

Is anyone on here going to the game, everyone seems to be away! Absolutely buzzing. Watching the clock already, only slight worry is planning to get to the pub 4 hours before kick off which could be messy.

Thing that always make me smile about those clips is how people are proper up for it, right up until the moment they come up against that impenetrable 1m wide piece of netting.
