Things you remember from back in the day?

Mmm...rings a bell. I used to love Banana Splits. I used to love the cartoons too. Those scientists who could reduce their size and the bloke who used to shout "size of an elephant" or whatever. What about Wait Til Your Father Gets Home? Great theme tune too.

Mmm...don't remember that. Then again i didn't like chewy ( as we used to say). More sophisticated me. Hence the sweet cigarettes and tobacco.

Sure someone has mentioned Spangles, Old English were my favourite flavour. Toffos obviously, but not the banana ones cos a man's gotta chew what a man's gotta chew.

I also remember that buying a bag of Monster Munch (bags were big in tyem days) was like buying a bag of coal* *A source of fuel for our younger viewers. We didn't have central heating when i was a kid so the only warm room was the living room thanks to the open coal fire.

Things you remember from back in the day?

Mojos. A mint chewy sweet that cost 5 for 1/2p at the local VG. Corona bottles where you could get 2p and then eventually 5p when you took them into an off licence. Pretend tobacco pouches that contained sweets. Sweet cigarettes with a red end. None of this "candy stick" nonsense...

What are you currently listening to?

I've had a few infections over the last few days so have had a shitty week. What has kept me going is Night & Day by Joe Jackson. Great album which contains his obvious and still stunning hit single.

I suppose they have to think of the bandwidth. Mobdro does freeze every now and then but not too bad. I am amazed it works.

    Torch's Counselling Thread

There is a hospital TV system run by a third party but thw prices are extortionate. I paid £50 for 4 weeks for 25 freeview channels. I've just had to pay again as i don't know when I'm going home. I did enquire about Sky Sports. £35 for a day!! Luckily Mobdro works on thw hospital wifi so i...
