    South Stand home end?

Again I'm sure that's true (to the extent that the SAG allow it). Of course in Earlsdon's picture he's hardly moved the Away lot at all, and actually brought City fans closer to them (with physical separation between Home standing and Away seated). It might not be possible, and if people don't...

    South Stand home end?

Fair play DoD, if that's where people like to be it's a bit surprising but I've no problem with it at all. I'm too old for it anyway :ROFLMAO:

    Never thought I’d say this…

Yeah people say that Hamer would be wasted playing at AM, but in the absence of Palmer, Allen and O'Hare it's worth giving him a go at it. He's more of a goal threat than any of those tbh, can play people in and has boundless energy. Sheaf and Eccles is a fine combination to play behind him and...

    South Stand home end?

For my part, there’s really no need to take offence, as none was ever intended (you’ve responded to two people at once, so I can’t speak for anyone else). I made clear previously I wasn’t being confrontational, just startled that your calculations involved so many rows of seats being removed...

    South Stand home end?

Yeah, for me there was never anything inherently unsafe about standing and watching football. It’s only an issue if you (tragically and unforgivably) let far too many people into a standing enclosure. The answer is … er … not to let too many people in.

    Former Sky Blue-Cobi Jones

Kind of backs up my earlier comment about not being physically up to it :ROFLMAO:

    Former Sky Blue-Cobi Jones

Somewhat charismatic, but probably not physically up to the demands of the top flight in England. Seem to recall him scoring an absolutely crucial winning goal in one of our relegation-haunted seasons. Away at Wimbledon?

    South Stand home end?

Yes if PBE is right about the 5 rows (and I'm happy to bow to his judgement on that), the number of seats lost can still be minimised in various ways as you describe. But for me the total capacity is a red herring anyway, it's more about giving City fans better options.

    South Stand home end?

I haven't got hard numbers, and of course the touchline isn't fixed in position anyway, it's just a painted line which might be moved. Here's a shot of the other end of the ground, where it looks like at least 12 yards from touchline to first row (i.e. same as from penalty spot to goal line)...

    South Stand home end?

The touchline at the CBS is surely much further away than the pictorial example in the drawing?

    South Stand home end?

I'm sure the equation is right, but have you put in the actual numbers for the CBS?

    Player ratings

The 'McDire' comment is grossly unfair as well as unfunny. He did OK, not as energetic as Allen (who is?) but some decent attacking play. Not had much football, so bound to be a little rusty at this stage. Remains to be seen if he can do enough to get a contract.

    South Stand home end?

Safe standing naturally involves some physical separation measures from the surrounding seating. Therefore if planned and executed well, it shouldn’t be beyond the wit of man to enable standing CCFC fans to be in the South Stand, even if moving the away fans isn’t practical. CCFC standing in the...

    South Stand home end?

Fair enough, and from your vocabulary (reprofiling, risers and rakes ) you clearly have technical knowledge in this area. I agree that there probably wouldn't be demand for 7500 standing. But I'm curious about your conclusions, because it seems to me that when I go from a seated position...

    South Stand home end?

I'm not sure that a 'safe standing area' is a shallow terrace. Think it's more like seating with rails to facilitate standing, so the incline would not change?

    South Stand home end?

Maybe we should call that Swingers Corner to encourage friendly intermingling of home and away fans?

    South Stand home end?

Somebody standing a couple of rows down doesn't obscure your view, so surely only one or possibly two rows of seats would need to go? A small matter in the context of making such a change.

Sorry, not sure what you mean by that?

    South Stand home end?

For some people such as yourself the North Stand is obviously first preference, and that's great. But after originally bring the home end, it was off limits for so long that it's now more like a sort of overspill for when we have a bigger gate. Somehow we've wandered into a situation where we...

    South Stand home end?

I don’t see why you shouldn’t at least be shortlisted for Architect of the Year ;) I like what you’ve done there in principle, including the safe standing. It gives Sky Blues fans the area behind the goal, and relegates away supporters to the corner. Currently it’s the other way around, which...
