Also how would you prove you were a supporter? How would you stop a stooge buying all those shares and just voting with what they want? Also without the ability to own at least 51% would put a lot of larger investors off. They like being able to do whatever they please.

It wasn't a serious suggestion. Just a sartorial swipe at the manner in which the current owners were allowed to purchase the club.

We've not done it quite so much since Wilson came in, who will put his foot through it more and getting us higher up the pitch. Maybe give him this game to get the nerves of the debut over with and a big incentive to work on it over the summer. Then next season look at a loan.

Deal or no Deal : Max Biamou

Criticism is acceptable when it's constructive and based on genuine frustration.

Why couldn't they just use the club as collateral? That's what the current owners did.

Deal or no Deal : Max Biamou

Don't forget the blue plaque and eventual listing as a cultural asset due to it's famed ex-occupant. Plus the constant fans knocking on the door and the shrine it'll become would get tiresome.

Are they not people that direct people around testing sites etc? I also imagine it's a zero hours contract so if they're not needed they don't get called in or earn anything.

    Matty James

I reckon he'll be looking for roughly half of what he's on now. Which is probably still beyond what we'd offer.

So who do we think will be leaving ?

If there are a few freebies around due to some squads cutting costs from the pandemic it may well have a knock on effect on some of our out of contract players like Biamou, Fadz, Kelly and Jones as we may find younger/better/less injury prone alternatives.

    The shushing Shipley

Am I the only one who gets an image of industrial/Victorian engineering when I read this thread title? Along with stuff like the Spinning Jenny and the Flying Shuttle we have the Shushing Shipley.

Max Biamou and a place in the sun

Entire squad have agreed to help out with a community project building cheap homes for people. They'll be spending all day smashing the woodwork before hitting the bar in the evening.

Max Biamou and a place in the sun

What, Max is planning a terrorist attack! Although if he was I think the target would be safe but if I was the building next to it I'd be shitting myself.

No idea but he's travelling by budget airline as he likes to land at a destination where you end up somewhere close to, but not quite actually at, where you're supposed to be. *joke recycled from Luke Thomas and Calum O'Hare in previous seasons.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

I think it's that places like India and Brazil are such shitshows and we no longer have Trump in charge so we focus heavily on what the US are doing. Maybe Biden has also changed things in some areas to be a bit more careful (although restrictions are largely state driven) and the vaccinations...

Man U fans inside Old Trafford

SISU are paying back loans owed to themselves but they're all accruing interest at a decent rate. So while they haven't really been taking the money out much they are owed a lot more in the accounts than they've actually put in. Glazers however are treating Man U like a US sport franchise and...
