Several EFL Clubs “days away from going bust”

Last data I can find says our average weekly wage was £1,657 or £7,180 per month. £5,385 after the pay cut and £2,885 after the furlough scheme. We’re paying 40% of our normal player salaries, none of our admin costs or anything else. It should have been budgeted for from the summer. Any club...

No, snus maybe. No link between snuff and any type of cancer.

    Quitting smoking

I'm lucky in that I jut stopped fancying smoking. After several years of smoking I got to the point where straights were too dry and made my throat sore and rollies made me feel a bit sick. Gave away my last pouch of baccy away and haven't had a single one in about 8/9 years. Maybe a little bit...

I think the PL are more likely to use it as an excuse for B teams.

They’ve already agreed a 25% pay cut and the salaries are covered by the government up to £2,500 a week. That will cover most players salaries in the bottom two leagues. Then they know they have 4/5 games coming with significant broadcasting income. Cancel the season and they get 0 coming in...

Several EFL Clubs “days away from going bust”

I think the PFA would be more than happy to advise contracts and loans continue to the end of the season whenever that may be over the very real possibility that come July hundreds of their members are out of contract with nobody wanting to sign them.

Partick Thistle have been relegated in bottom place when they're 2 points behind the next team with a game in hand. How the fuck is that fair?

Several EFL Clubs “days away from going bust”

Theres 9 games left, just finish them, it's not impossible and if you scratch them off then it sets a dangerous precedent. This thing isn't going to be gone like magic for the start of the next season and 9 games in this time was 17 September, if teams have concerns up to that point and we miss...

    NUFC takeover

Yeah, I avoid certain pubs round here when games are on as you get wankers with full replicas on going mental shouting at the screen like they’re there. Proper farmer accents on them. I’ve tried discussing it with some but you end up with “YNWA mate, you just don’t know what it’s like”

    NUFC takeover

I hate shit like that. You get it from Liverpool fans about how there club is so much more, it filters down through their armchair fans till you get to the point that someone who has been to 2 games in their life is telling you the connection to their club is more important than having a season...

    NUFC takeover

Ashley is undoubtedly a c**t but it feels like the main problem their fans have, which is similar to so many, is that he hasn't spent way beyond their means.

Nah, I was at Shrewsbury away last season when we went 9 without a win and nobody was getting on the team's back.

    Sunderland Til' I Die

They have good numbers but the support is terrible, moaning negative straight on players backs and it makes the team worse. Very much like us until a few years ago.
