Get Cov Back to the Ricoh response to Wasps Ricoh Takeover

No anger just pointing out that the CET have never said they think the wasps move is a good thing. So I can't see how clarifying their position on it can be classed as back tracking

Get Cov Back to the Ricoh response to Wasps Ricoh Takeover

Rob they reported Mr Ainsworth's opinion. They did not say it is theirs. They reported the story about wasps, I would be very angry with them if they didn't as I am sure you would. After the Mr Ainsworth story some suggested this is the opinion of the CET. They have clarified its not.

Get Cov Back to the Ricoh response to Wasps Ricoh Takeover

If it came out via the mannerism that Rob suggests that is worrying. That's suggests it was not an intentional leak to give SISU a chance to get their arses into gear.

    Opinion of CET

Bloody hell seems a bit bizarre to have a go at them. Our owners approach them offering them some extra cash telling them the club will not be able to fulfil its fixtures otherwise. The FL back this up. How can we expect them to be the knights in shining armour. Our owners should never had...

    Opinion of CET

I don't think too many people had a go at Northampton. It was their fault our owners had a crazy plan that gave them more money and the football league said it was ok. It was our owners and the football league who were at fault. As would be the case in the wasps scenario.

Why Coventry City have only themselves to blame for missing out on a stake in the Ricoh Arena................ Wasps are in talks to buy a major stake in the Ricoh Arena and it's Coventry City's fault The crowd at the floodlit Ricoh Arena The proposed deal for Wasps to buy a controlling stake...

In my first visit to Highbury. In the program was a letter from a supporter complaining about the fact that in the previous programme there was a message from the chairman urging fans to make more noise and support the team more enthusiastically. This letter objected to being told how to support...

Arsenal left their historic Highbury home for the 60,000 capacity Emirates Stadium in order to meet demand for tickets, but back on 5 May 1966 a 6,000 capacity ground would have been more appropriate. That night just 4,554 people watched Arsenal's top flight match with Leeds United and the crowd...

Cov RFC do NOT want a merger with Wasps

4.5 million for the Higgs share and probably another 2 million would for a bit of the councils share would do it.

Last seasons first half performance would have probably done it. To be fair to Cov fans we have waited about 20 years now since a team that truly entertained us. When it happened for half a season it was ironically 35 miles away. Our time will come again as will the crowds.

Cov RFC do NOT want a merger with Wasps

To buy a controlling share you will need to buy out one party and a little bit off the other party

Cov RFC do NOT want a merger with Wasps

Considering the Higgs charity have always said they want to sell as they don't want to be in the football business I am not sure how you are so confused?

Cov RFC do NOT want a merger with Wasps

I never said it was a good thing. I slightly agree with you a new stadium should never happen. I agree a rugby club from London should not move to the midlands unless the majority of their fans want it. However put yourself in ACL's shoes. At the moment we must accept what the judge...

Cov RFC do NOT want a merger with Wasps

The only way it would be beneficial is the big European games. Also the value if the sponsorship would rise as they are of a higher marketing profile than us. The best thing SISU could do is purchase a matching share before the whole value if ACL rises.

To be honest the atmosphere was the most exciting thing for fans that are not the hardcore. Unfortunately fans like that want to see us dominate games and have high scoring matches. Beating Gillingham one nill does not start the tongues wagging unfortunately.

Prices are not a massive issue. They are a factor but we are no different to other league one clubs. The club needs to give the fans something to generate momentum. The football and the success of the first half of last season would have done it. This seasons football will only attract the...

    Signings since Pressley joined

That wasn't true apparently when I pointed it out, when we were considering moving. When Pressley and the players themselves said it. It think it was then accepted by the tiny but very load minority ;)
