OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

35 quid buys you very little in Russells Garden Centre these days. There's a Sago Palm in the Ryton pictures that would have cost way more than that on its own.

I agree with that. But you didn't support him when he was the present manager.

Talk about reading too much into things! He didn't sound annoyed, and it doesn't sound stupid. The young lad is as keen as mustard, so I'm sure the injury is genuine. He took a helluva whack to the head in the previous game, so that's one possible cause (the effect can be delayed).

I just don't buy this stuff about the players not caring or not trying this season. We've been on the wrong end of a lot of results in games which could have gone either way, and yes there have been quite a few cockups, but I've seen no lack of effort.

But apparently what the keyboard warriors write exists in a bubble and has no real-world effect. Players and managers are immune because they are automatons, and owners never think to ask what the fanbase are saying.

Probably not, but I was thinking more of the players in that regard, and it's certainly true for several of them. Robins has merely had his ability as a manager trashed every time we lose a tight game.

Of course he doesn't 'take advice' from social media, but it creates an environment. People think their negative (even vicious) stuff on the web doesn't filter through to the players, affect their confidence, undermine the manager, or help set the scene for decision-making. I disagree.

Fair comment about the polls. Of course King doesn't do whatever people ask for on here or elsewhere on social media. I’m just saying negative over-dramatic views about a run of poor results get amplified and reverberate around far more than calm opinions. We have only been properly outplayed...

The club obviously monitors social media, and the constant shouty calls by a minority on here for Robins to go could easily have been misinterpreted as a groundswell of feeling among the fanbase. Cheers guys.

I'm not VAR. If you want 'conclusive', go to their decision taken with all the equipment at their disposal. My pictures were a genuine attempt to see if there was any mileage in accusing VAR of cocking it up, but trying to draw lines to make Haji onside is an impossible job, which explains why...

It's crystal clear to me, and that makes me comfortable with it. But believe what you want.

One last try on this. Here's the pictures I posted back in April. At the crucial moment (pics 3 &4), Haji stuck his leg out and under the inflexible rules (that give zero leeway to the attacker) he was offside. If you want to spend the rest of your life disbelieving it, that's up to you.

Yes, you can argue that the rules should be changed to give more leeway to the attacking team, but that's a different matter. I confirmed in a series of photos I posted at the time that it was offside under the rules as they stand. I don't get why people are carrying this lifelong burden that we...
