Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Yep. One thing we need is the ability for MP's to have their influence bought by self-interested rich people without this country or it's people interests at heart  Maybe one day you'll realise it's not worth winning if the prize is a massive pile of shit. The prize we'll eventually...

I have to disagree. Tories won by a landslide because they supported Brexit. If anything Corbyn's problem was that he didn't stick by it fervently enough and sat on the fence and thus impressed nobody. A tactic that Starmer seems to have extended to every singe topic.

The irony is I think he would be a competent PM. What he is is an incompetent Leader of the Opposition

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I think it's being discussed beyond the confines of this board! Johnson has backed down for supporting the changes and we know full well he follows the tide of popular opinion when he thinks it might make unpopular. There are plenty of other websites and forums on all sorts of topics you can...

Grendel just states what everyone knew already - he's selfish. Webbe was re-brought up as an attempt to deflect after someone mentioned Paterson. Webbe was also tried and convicted so that's process. Only the party didn't let her back in during the interim. And if your defence is that the...

    Premier League thread

I think Howe will only be there short term with the intention to keep them up, even if they give him a 3-4 year contract. I reckon they're already looking for a replacement with bigger name managers offering them huge wages and transfer kitty to take the job in the summer should Newcastle stay...

Classic deflection and whataboutery. The facts are he wasn't Labour. He was a Tory. Who reinstated the whip after having previously removed it when the allegations came to light. After having it removed again he was then convicted and imprisoned. Do you support that move to reinstate him or do...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Yes, I do because it will slightly reduce infections but most importantly it will reduce the viral load anyone gets and thus make it less likely they'll get a serious infection requiring hospitalisation, and preventing pressure on hospitals would be the reason why lockdowns would be reimplemented

Except enforce tiny inconveniences which would almost certainly be enough to prevent one.

    Championship 21/22

I agree about the cynical, deliberate fouls but that tackle was unbelievably dangerous. it was at head height and he conciously goes for it with his foot rather than his head because he knew their player was there and feared clashing heads. So he knows how potentially dangerous it is if he gets...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

If it gets overturned it'll be the right decision but it just highlights how this government is totally corrupt and self-serving. If they genuinely believed changing these rules was the right thing to do they'd have pressed on. It shows the only reason they put this forward was to save one of...

We only score in one half?

I did jokingly say a few games ago we needed to stop scoring in the first half because it wasn't working in our favour.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

I find wearing a tie uncomfortable and restrictive but it's 'normal' and expected so I have to and it's just part of what has to be done. If I didn't I know it wouldn't be long before someone was having a word with me. What's 'normal' about tying a piece of cloth around your neck? Nothing, but...

Wearing a mask indoors or in crowded outdoor spaces so we can continue to live normal lives is hardly massive. Do you complain you have to wear trousers everywhere you go?
