Wow. Lapped cars overtaking and no safety car. This is Verstappens

If they didn't there would be no racing at all and Verstappen loses. I don't think he'll be able to get it done in that single lap but at least he might have a chance. let the cars through he has no chance at all.

Depends on if those tyres suddenly drop off. Hamilton is an expert at preserving tyres and maintain pace, but we'll have to see.

Personally I wouldn't have brought Hamilton in so quickly after max for the first stop. With the VSC I'd have probably pitted to, but as I said before you can make an argument either way. Reckon it will be very close at the end, and with the Championship this year that's the way it should be.

If he had Verstappen would have stayed out and ceded position. Would have had better tyres and he is good at chasing but got the danger of overtaking Max and him doing something mad. Damned if he does or doesn't.

Max in. Will VCS last long enough for Hamilton to copy him?

Giovanzzi parking more awkwardly than he needed too. Only a virtual safety car. Wonder who might gamble on a pitstop

Great teamwork from Perez. Even Max thanked him!

I don't think he was trying to cause a crash. He's just hot-headed and after going behind he was going to make a mad lunge to retake the lead, leaving Hamilton with no racetrack and having to leave the track. Definitely think Hamilton used it to gain an advantage cos he was much further ahead...

Sorry, I misunderstood what you meant. I thought you meant risking giving the virus to someone, not giving them your booster.

Not sure about that incident. I don't think Hamilton had anywhere else to go, as Verstappen only just kept it on track himself and they touched as Hamilton braked, but he used that run-off to gain an advantage in terms of distance between the two.

To be honest I was a bit concerned with that as I have a history of it too. The data suggests it is predominantly young men who are very physically active and won't last very long. Though from experience I know that's not much comfort when you're having an attack. I had my booster last week and...

O hare doesn’t flatter to deceive

There has to be a point where you realise fouling him and giving him the free kick is more likely to cause you problems that letting him shoot or create a chance. I'm not saying they're going to ignore, just change the tactic from getting players on him and committing the foul to just have one...

    Kelly

What 'nasty edge'? People are pointing out limitations to his ability that are more apparent at this level. That's not nasty, it's just pointing out the situation.

He does worry defenders but you do wonder if that might eventually change and they realise that his final ball/shot is not very good so just let him have the ball and wait for him to waste it.

I agree about the experience and Verstappen can be a bit hot-headed but I wonder if the tyre difference may be a vital thing. Verstappen will likely get a lead on the softs early on and manage to stay ahead from the pitstops then in the later stages Lewis will be on fresher tyres and chasing...

    COVID pass

Do the current vaccination requirements not also put a strain on staffing because you're reducing your potential workforce by automatically excluding people who would refuse those vaccinations?
