I think for me it's that we've shown we can actually compete. We're so close to being a mid table team if we cut a couple of errors out. The frustrations of last night are that we got rid of things that were working for us.

It's just hugely frustrating that we found something that was close to working against better teams and then chucked it all in the bin for no reason and played one of our worst game so far.

But when you say ‘I like the formation, we’re playing well, but the mistakes are unacceptable and we’re chucking games away’ people say ‘calm down, you don’t think Robins is going to sort that out’. Then you say ‘We shouldn’t have changed that formation, it made us worse and we offered nothing...

But Sam has been plying there reasonably well and Giles has played every minute so far. I understand not wanted to have someone wrong footed on the edge of a back 4 but I don’t think the formation was the issue.
