Whole squad. Who stays, who goes?

Agree with you except for Allen. I think he's a useful squad player, Probably don't need a CM workhorse if we keep Sheaf and Hamer, as hopefully Eccles will kick on and Allen can also fill in. We need at least one CB, 2 including replacing JCS, an AM and a LWB as priorities. If we could...

    Hamer, Ohare, Gykores…..and Sheaf ?

Yep. For me that is the spine of the team I would like to build from. Just need to add at least one defensive name to that list to give us a real spine to the team.

    Viktor off to Fulham?

£10m with add-ons maybe acceptable. Although this is more applicable to sales of youngsters like Maddison, bu on top of the common sell-on percentages I think I'd also be looking at appearance fees as well, for example £50k for every PL appearance, £25k for Chamionship etc.

    Qatar World Cup 2022

I do. Because I'd rather know who the racists are and see them being challenged and humiliated than hidden away in some echo chamber where their messed up take is validated until their thoughts are so warped they do something serious. Another example is misogny. Do you think it's good to have a...

    Qatar World Cup 2022

I understand why a lot of people are angry, as I was reading that shite, and the poster couldn't complain at all if they were banned. But this is a situation whereby deleting this thread entirely, despite how abhorrent it is, could be counterproductive. The subject of free speech often crops up...

    Next season starts now

Maybe. Maybe not. But let's say we play Hamer and he scores/creates a goal in a win, but gets booked and so misses the first three games of next season. Is that a worthwhile trade off? Personally I'd leave Hamer out of this game to ensure he's not suspended starting next year, even though we'll...

    The Penalty

But how do we know if play had continued that we might have scored. As it was it slowed the game down, which is affecting our momentum in a small way, even if we do still manage to keep on attacking after. If you press the brakes on a car it will reduce its forward momentum, even if the car...

I agree. If all of those players we have that should have been vying for first team spots but weren't had been up to scratch our squad size would have been OK. Every club will have some duds though, so in reality you need a few more because it'd be practically impossible to have every player...

    Next season starts now

Maybe, but as far as I know it doesn't affect the prize money we recieve and if there's something we can do that could help us build towards next season such as looking at squad players or giving experience to youngsters, even if just on the bench, that would be a more sensible use of the game...

It's just a think Grendel does that encourages people to bite. He has opinions on players that he will not waive from and so a tiny mistake by one of his non-favourites will be picked up on while the same mistake from CoH will be excused for something or he'll point out how much he's added over...

    The Penalty

Fully support the ref's decision, and I think it's frustration at the way the rules work that it encourages gamesmanship and something needs to be done to disincetivise teams from faking it, like not having that player able to return for a set amount of time as stated above.

    The Penalty

Ruins momentum, allows opposition to get their shape etc., plus you're hoping the ref will add on sufficient time for the stoppage. Definitely more likely to work in favour of the team defending a lead. If it didn't, they wouldn't do it would they? Definitely needs some sort of rule that denies...

Didn't realise Neil Parish had already got a new job as their manager.

    The Jones Enigma

That;s my take - if we're playing the box the two of them together could prove very tricky for the opposition. If you concentrate on nullifying one then you leave space for the other to capitalise. As much as I admire Allen's contribution, opposition teams aren't going to be that worried about...

    Transfer Shouts

Not convinced. Think he could have a bit of a Bertie Big Bollocks attitude here and fee/wages would be very high.

    Boris Becker

I agree. Jail is expensive and should be used only where it will be of benefit to the public because they would be at severe risk if the person were free in society. With financial crimes it's risk-reward. If you think the amount you can gain is greater than the amount of time you'd spend in...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The thing is that if he didn't think he was breaking rules (though as PM he really should!) then he would tell the truth about what happened because he wouldn't think there was anything wrong with his actions. The fact he consistently lies, changes his story and deflects tells you he knows what...

    USSR invades Ukraine.

With Putin the MO is to infiltrate with your own operatives so the native population are forced out. Then sat the region wants Russian conttrol. When that happens send those agents in even further and repeat.

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Trouble is that compromise would be kicking the can down the road. Putin would regroup and go again at some point in the future. He believes these countries should be under Russian control and no amount of international condemnation, sanctions, treaties will convince him otherwise. But even if...
