Kelly did ok against very poor opponents. Still far too many backward passes which do keep possession but you want more than that. He is a steadying influence and a good pro which has a place in a squad.

Eccles has done well and Bidwell. Torp a bit quiet and Palmer dropped off a bit after a lively start.

I know Robins would get criticised for it and crucified if there was an injury but I’d leave Simms, Wright and Palmer on. A great chance for them to build understanding and confidence.

Almost a practice match now. Maybe Palmer, Simms and Wright should keep on and play together a bit more.
