    Temporary dismissals

I like the idea in principle but I'd need to know how it would be applied. If it's for a set amount of time, then all that will happen is teams will try and time waste as much as possible until the time is up, so I think it'd only really be viable with a stopped clock format.

    Ellis Simms Going Forward

I noticed that but somehow managed to hold my tongue, though hoping someone else would point it out.

    Safe standing consultation

Seeing the picture put up by nigfatronssba, I was wondering if that segregation was possible because of the small number of fans they'd brought and so there would be sufficient exits/toilets etc/ for the number of people. But your pic blows that idea out of the water.

It's not, but it's arguably worse to hammer home that your country is amazing and always right. Otherwise you end up like America.

To be fair I think he's just relating it to this country because that's where we are. I'm sure he feels every other country, like Spain, France, Dutch etc should also offer a rounded view on their past and show both the good and bad. I also think that it is worthwhile showing what other...

    Ellis Simms Going Forward

It's not really Wright keeping hm out of the team, it's Godden. Simms style is far closer to that of Godden's, and should Godden have two/three games without a goal (or more likely get injured) we'll see Wright and Simms together. I'm confident that the intention was to play them together.

    Saudi Arabian League

He's already financially secure for generations (or should) from his earnings already, and he could have still earned an astronomical amount at Liverpool or if he'd got a move to another PL team. Plus he's said it's not about the money. And it wasn't that long ago he was saying how awful the...

    Safe standing consultation

If you move the away fans to that corner and have the safe standing at the front, who is going into Singer's Corner? Those that want to be near the away fans will be further across. Those that want to stand will be in the standing area. Which leaves...who, exactly?

    Championship thread 23/24

This has reminded me of a small project in uni that, totally irrationally, still irks me when it pops into my head. We had to make a newspaper based around our course/dept, with all the usual sections/stories etc. It included sport, but they said it couldn't be football as everyone would do...

Maybe, but still ideological. Money is still going out of government funds and ending up in private hands with split interests rather than a body whose sole concern is providing social housing.

WW2. War started for Britain on this day.

Well, yes of course it matters how things used to be. That's how we learn and don't make the same mistakes when we do what we do today. And for me that means giving a honest account of what went on. Yes, we can show all the great things that came about because of empire, and the inventions and...

But some of that disease was knowingly and willing introduced into the native population to reduce their numbers, and undoubtedly killed a huge number of people, probably in the millions. That today would be considered biological warfare and mass genocide.

Seems odd that a council wouldn't qualify for a grant but a private association does. Almost like it's policy to make it easier for private investors to make money at the expense of those in need of housing and its communities

I feel like the sell off should have been limited to 50% of a property. Council retains the land/property as well as a decent amount of control over repairs/tenants etc. Renter can obtain equity and then have a vested interest to keep the house/area maintained.
