    JOB

He came on at half-time when we were 2-0 down to Peterborough and I'm certain it was his urgency that woke us up. I don't tend to prioritise effort and charging about over actual ability, but that was pretty ace.

I must have walked right past the sign so many times and never registered what its real name is!

Apparently a piece on CCFC on radio1 any time now

Was it Newsbeat? It stands out as an oddity on Radio 1, they briefly cover a load of fluff but then can really go in-depth on a subject and it's usually very good.

Now you're talking. I shudder to think how much pocket money I put into that, never would have believed that years later I could just download it and hundreds of others for free on an emulator

Tell you what, when I've got grandkids they're going to hear the tale of the time Grandpa won the £15 jackpot on Sir Win-A-Lot in the Walsgrave and repeated it twice when he should have been in college.

I used to like the Bolshie up at the top of Barras Common on a Sunday. We'd stroll up as my friend's old man would be in there, play the bandits for a bit, then the Old Red Horse or Barras Club for a bit of pool and then home. It was only after they'd knocked it down that I found out it wasn't...

Apparently a piece on CCFC on radio1 any time now

I just got an email from change.org about this. Radio 1 is possibly the biggest platform to date, good stuff. Assuming 'Grimmy' was nowhere near it.

Anyone who played Theme Park in the 90s is wise to the thirst trick. Double the amount of salt on the chips, soft drink sales skyrocket! You then had to hire cleaners for all the sick, so it was a real balancing act

Gilbert can only really do as his industry now dictates which isn't his fault. Some of his more bullish responses on Twitter can't help someone also trying to sell a book at the same time though. Les Reid's avatar is a webcam screengrab of that time he won the hipster Olly Murs contest.

    Simon Gilbert's Book

I started it after Christmas but after a chapter or two little has compelled me to carry on. The writing was all a bit too matter-of-fact, as if reading from a compilation of Wikipedia posts.

Atlanta have really been an attacking force and the Packers' defence is susceptible, but even playing in the Georgia Dome all I can see is a Packer win. Rodgers has got some kind of weird slow motion Hollywood hero thing going on at the moment.
