    Anti Football Pompey Nill

To be fair to Pompey, if the player had gone down play acting for Bakayoko’s tackle, I reckon he’d have been in trouble. Also, Dabo slid through on one of their players and he stepped over him and didn’t go down. So, they might have surrounded him a couple times, but I think they were ok...

Agreed with this. But, and I’m normally very anti-ref, I didn’t think he was too bad last night! Couple of decisions, but not many.

I haven’t said anything about them having bad games? I’ve said they look tired - not sharp, erratic passing... that sort of thing. Anyway, I’ve made my point! If we stick with them in the next game then fair enough!

Yeah. I’m not saying the team haven’t done well am I? Kelly’s been excellent this season, but off the pace in the last 2 games. Same with McCallum. I don’t think it’s unfair to rest them. Especially with games like Sunderland, Rotherham and Ipswich coming up.

He was on the bench against Bolton. But ok. So we have Giles for that position. Kelly... Shipley or Westbrooke, even Pask could come in. There’s options. I’m not saying the team will be stronger, but against, technically, the worst team in the league, you’d hope they could handle that. I think...

Shipley, Westbrooke, Mason, Giles, Pask, Jones... any of those can come in and do a job. It’s a good squad. Kelly and McCallum need a rest from what I’ve seen. You have options there. Literally arguing for the sake of it.

Would normally agree. But some of those players need a rest. You can clearly see that. That’s what we have a good squad for.

Got to admit, me too. Thought Bakayoko did well and would have been more effective having 2 bigger strikers up... shows what I know!

Completely agreed with that assessment and resting players. Don’t change it too much, but I really thought Kelly was off last night. Couple changes, freshen it up, give some a rest.

Exactly. 2 good saves by Marosi and they probably should’ve scored at the end. Don’t know what some were watching, but they weren’t a crap side. We ground out a result. Ecstatic with that!

Balls holding up in the wind and the pitch by the looks of it. They started well, then we dominated, few half chances and then they dominated but no real chances. Pretty even so far.

To be fair, Jones was in the U23’s yesterday, so it was unlikely he’d be in today. Godden’s back, so not surprised about Jordi. Mason’s unlucky, but this Giles sounds decent, so I’m not surprised.

    Marosi

The one at Walsall was where I gave up all hope. Turned the game off, checked 30 mins later, saw we’d actually lost. That was when I decided it was enough and he had to go!

Not how it works, is it though. We know by now that playing teams we’re expected to beat isn’t our forte! Playing teams we’re (the fans) worried about nearly always produces a better performance.

    Rate the Transfer Window

Decent window to be fair. Squad is technically stronger than before January. I’m not sure what it was like for other teams around us, but I’m sure not many will have kept everyone they wanted to.

    Watford U23 v Coventry U23

Worded badly. I didn’t mean talked about at the same time, but the way he was talked about was he was more impressive than Rice at the same age. I think Pask got an injury quite young, right.

He had a bad injury, right? Mate of mine was amazed we’d got him when the transfer went through as he’d been talked about above the likes of Rice at West Ham (before his injury).
