What do you think is the end game ?

So long as we are not losing them further money I think they will be happy to carry on as is, with the outside chance of promotion and starting to recoup their losses.

What kind of drunk are you?

Nick's already shared on another thread that he gets in touch with his feminine side when he's had a few (note - this is not true). Glen gets very happy and optimistic and Grendel almost certainly sings "The Red Flag" at 20 decibels and tells everyone what it will be like after the revolution...

First Sunday off in a month

What kind of drunk are you Nick? Do you get depressed and quiet; is everyone your best mate or do you want a bit of the old fisticuffs?

Just watched the highlights. I think Sordell did well but the problem was Thomas fluffing his lines twice.

    Why is Coventry so crap?

Cov was badly let down by town planners after the war. The people of Coventry suffered more than most through supporting the war effort with engineering and were rewarded with soulless concrete cuboids. However, growing up in Cov during the 70s I knew no better. It was my city, it was buzzing...

    Things that annoy you

Actually I don't mind the grammatical and spelling mistakes made by the under-educated so much. What gets my goat is people who try to make themselves sound "posh" by misusing reflexive verbs e.g. "Please send it to myself". And equally using long-winded clichés such as "at this present time"...

    CWR Phone In

Including this. This "tax loss" bollocks is spread around by the ignorant: 1) They are offshore. What tax? 2) You think they'd not prefer a profit, even if they paid tax?

Anyone else dreading the BBC classic remakes?

I'm looking forward to them - they've been doing Hancock's Half Hour on the radio for a few weeks and it's very good.

    Two dozen artichokes

Not useful for now, I realise, but they are really easy to grow. You can buy a packet of seeds for £2 and get more than 10 plants. You'll need some space as they grow very large but they are perennial so for £2 you can have 10 artichokes every year.

    Favourite Summer Song ?

This is from the same era. Sounds like the guy's vinyl copy is rather worse than mine.

    Favourite Summer Song ?

And Everything But the Girl's Eden album reminds me of the summer before I met her - living above a restaurant with a bunch of musos; dancing, gigging and working the days at Ladbrokes marking up the odds and results for every race. Halcyon days...

Thomas Dolby's I Scare Myself always reminds me of the first summer after I met my wife.

Well that's the beauty of change - when situations change actions can too. When was the last time we paid anything before Vincelot? Mowbray has control and can spend the money how he wishes.

Yes it is - but nobody thinks that this purchase is nearly a million do they? All I'm saying is that six figures is affordable for CCFC.
