I wonder if his faeces are too dark also.

    RIP Labour

I agree. I'm reading a biography of Mao just now and he was a very nasty piece of work even as a young man. The implication is that he got into communism because the russians paid him so much to be leader of his local branch. He then loved the power it gave him and stabbed every rival in the...

    RIP Labour

If you believe in international communism and haven't had a chance of power or influence for thirty years I imagine you'd be very excited. There's also many enthusiastic supporters who I believe to be naive and think it is a great thing.

    The end of Sisu?

Sure: "Wydaje się, że SISU biorą Netii do sądu, jak mówimy ... lol"

    Since the 2011/12 season

I suspect that the turnover in players is caused by the turnover in managers.

    RIP Labour

It's not perfect but it works. With capitalism there will always be disparities in wealth because the emphasis is on each person to make of themselves what they will - not all will want to work hard and not all are born with the skills or persistence to make wealth. Despite all the rhetoric...

    RIP Labour

I was always puzzled why the leadership of Momentum described themselves as Trotskyists rather than communists. I knew that Trotsky had played a big part in the Russian revolution but then fallen out with Stalin & Lenin and was eventually assassinated by Stalin (I first learned this, I confess...

    RIP Labour

Yes, I knew he was from a wealthy family and had a good job in Germany before he left for Paris. But that makes the story even better I think. Despite being wealthy himself he decided it was wrong that ordinary working people were abused and did something about it.

    RIP Labour

I agree, looks great on paper. I'm sure I'd have supported Marx when he first wrote the communist manifesto. But it has proven time and time again as a complete disincentive for people to work hard or come up with new ideas. Everyone with any ambition wants to leave, so they have to bring in...

Petition SISU to sell the club

You don't agree that SISU will do whatever they want anyway? If so, why? I didn't write that it was pointless - it makes us all feel like we have some kind of power and I've signed. But I know it won't force SISU out. Having said that, I wonder if they are on their way out anyway - selling...

    RIP Labour

Every time I see a socialist on TV talking they say they want to fight the Tories. Why? Why don't they decide for themselves what is right and then support the Tories when they agree? It seems the whole movement exists only to be negative about what the other party thinks. Corbyn talks...

Petition SISU to sell the club

I know it makes us all feel better, but we all realise that this is water off a duck's back to SISU right?

    What are you currently reading?

I agree about Kindle; my daughter bought me one for Christmas but I'm a Luddite. My strategy now is to buy first editions on Abebooks and then sell them on Amazon when I've read them - I can usually turn a small profit. There are so many good books to read that I generally won't read anything...

    What are you currently reading?

Agree, can't walk past one without checking out the book section. There's also an awful lot of rubbish there but occasionally you can pick up a very good book for a song.

    Bigi...

Mowbray on Bigi: "I think Bigi was magnificent today – his energy, his drive, his quality. He’s growing into a leader. He’s still a young boy but he cares very much about this football club. I can hear him in the dressing room and he gets disappointed some times with the decisions of other...
