I'd definitely give Simms some time in place of Godden as things are. Probably let O'Hare have some more minutes as well.

But that proves my point that we need to get the public sector involved in housebuilding again. While there is truth in problems with planning laws and restrictions and land availability, it doesn't explain it all. The LA's went out of the game completely in order to give the private companies...

Not really, because it still shows he has no idea how to use a hammer. If he did he'd have just ignored her and used it correctly. Hope next time he's asked to apply some striped paint and if he knows how to use a long weight.

    The Club Shop

Yeah, hence why I suggest doing it more in the same colour as it probably wouldn't look so bad. Our badge must be an absolute bitch to do though.

But they haven't. They've always produced far less than required (and are able to). The changes in planning law just gave them another excuse to control the supply even more, should it suit them. Which it does. If they're producing less houses, how come their profits are going up? I guess it's...

Of course they're building at a consistent rate. A rate that is consistent with them having houses to put on the market and sell but not so many that it'd bring the prices down. They will supply less than the demand - it's in their interests to do so. Wasn't it the owner of Persimmon who...

They make big profits because they don't build enough to meet the demand. Increase supply - price goes down.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

So a company that benefits from higher selling prices if they limit supply isn't going to limit supply at all? While these things are an issue, the housebuilders use them as a convenient get out clause to keep everything going solely. I'm not saying they're not building at all, but they're not...

    The Club Shop

This should probably be an e-mail to the merch dept, but maybe they'll see it here anyway. I've got a coupe of problems with the stuff. First is quite simple - I think much of it is overpriced. Second is to do with the fare on offer. I find a lot of it just too tacky at my age. I don't want a...

Match Thread Millwall FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 25th Nov

That's where I disagree. Yes, some of the chances have been difficult and we'd clearly be better with someone of Hamer's ability in the middle, but I can think of two or three for ALL THREE strikers that should, for a striker at this level, been put away. I don' think we've created less 'good'...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Of course it's deliberate. They know they're losing so start putting everything in place now to blow up during the next parliament and claim Labour are economically incompetent,

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Given that the housebuilders have huge conflicts of interests with the needs of the country, deliberately drip feed housing in to keep the prices high and also concentrate as much as possible on more expensive houses with higher margins, we really need to start seriously looking at govt actually...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

You could argue so was Boris, within the parliamentary party at least. Whether Braverman could convince the hardcore anti-immigrant faction given her racial heritage would be interesting to see play out. I think she'd gather more support from the general public than I'd be comfortable with...

So we've spent £10m on strikers who should only be expected to score easy chances and tap-ins?

    3 wins in 17 games

I hope your right. I've been telling myself for ages the performances aren't bad and once it clicks and the strikers start putting away chances we'll be alright. But there's only so long you can keep telling yourself that before you have to actually start seeing it happening on the pitch.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Indeed, but pandering to the rich and powerful by giving them tax breaks doesn't address those things either. It may not be quite as damaging nonsense, but it is still nonsense

I'm going for a late 1-0 loss after missing three really good chances.

    Euro qualifiers 2024

I agree. I think Rice is a more than decent holding midfielder, and with an outstanding all-rounder like Bellingham alongside him and one of the best No.9's in Kane up front, there should be plenty of scope to fit in the plethora of creative attacking midfielders we've got available to us.
