£5 tickets for Accrington - Community Day

New plan: do a deal with the register office to include JSB membership as a very small print opt-out as part of new birth registrations. It'll technically make us one of the best-supported teams in the country after a while, and technically is always the best way to win something

£5 tickets for Accrington - Community Day

Yeah I guess if you're going up as a spur of the moment thing it's more of an arse, ideally there'd be some kind of middle ground where you could get them signed them up in person within a few seconds with the same convenience (unless there is that already, not a clue)

I looked up the JSB scheme having known absolutely nothing about it and it takes about 2 mins to get it all sussed. Anyone who can manage to keep kids alive won't be overawed by this

£5 tickets for Accrington - Community Day

I don't know if this is the official all-time record but it looks like that's beyond us- Gers fans set to shatter world attendance record for fourth tier match The Ibrox side are confident of pulling in more than 40,000 punters for their first home Third Division fixture – which would shatter...

£5 tickets for Accrington - Community Day

I'd be severely disappointed if the attendance isn't 20000+ at that price, League 2 football not being worth the money has been a large reason I've seen for people not going any more so if anything will get them back for at least a day it's this.

Oh I misread it at first as kids tickets for a fiver, but it's £5 for absolutely anyone? That's amazing.

"Black people are ugly'' text leads to UKIP leader's girlfriend's suspension

The fella having to ditch his girlfriend must have been a tough choice. Sex and horrible racism or his party and horrible racism?

John Regis was only second to Linford Christie in the pecking order back in the day I think, I remember him being a 200m specialist in particular. EDIT: still the British record holder nearly 25 years later (List of British records in athletics - Wikipedia)

    Who’s more loyal ...

Nobody's more loyal. Everyone who hasn't completely given up on the shitshow of a club by now is on the same level of loyalty/insanity.

The thing about good advertising is that it needs to be subtle. Subtle and mild. Mild, like that first splash of sun on an April morning. Yes, Tweek Bros. Coffee is coffee the way it should be.

    The official NFL Thread

How good was Scott Hanson on the Sky coverage? I always watch Redzone by default instead of the live games, he's a proper TV pro, like if Jeff Stelling went solo and didn't have to throw over to a load of goons.

With these batterings by proper European teams, it's probably a blessing in disguise that Juventus cancelled on us that year. We'd probably be non-league already

I remember a home cup game where he was up in the same stand as us, would happily chat to anyone who approached him but otherwise didn't want a fuss or to stand out at all.

I think it's probably fair that he's associated most strongly with West Brom, particularly with his time there being about far more than just football itself.
