    Fábio Tavares

Is it a problem if he’s effective? Not a long term solution but he should get some starts between now and the end of the season if he’s fit.

    Fábio Tavares

He looked absolutely pony in his first few appearances this season but against Southampton and yesterday he was constantly a threat coming off the wing. His crossing particularly is constantly dangerous.

    What's the obsession with Lati?

I sound like a broken record at this point but it was obvious in Jan that we needed a winger in at all costs, didn’t get one.

    What's the obsession with Lati?

Who plays instead? Right now it’s basically Lati and Tavares competing for a spot with Milan switching between positions.

    He was great against us.

    Next Season

None of us know how he feels. Realistically we hold the cards with 2 years on his contract so him throwing the toys out the pram won’t work.

    Next Season

I think the point is we are in a position to demand £20m and stick to it, because we can always cash in for 10-15m next summer.

He should be staying after yesterday. Not that I blame him, but he owes us one and has something to prove now. Not that I expect that to count for anything in modern football tbh.

Extraordinary Mark Robins after match interview

He’s something else. Barely celebrated at 3-3 either, already thinking about how to tackle extra time I imagine. Taken us to Wembley 4 times now, arguably the underdog every time and is yet to be beaten outside of pens. Already an all time great of this club, if not the greatest. Can’t wait to...

    Luis Binks

Maybe, has never struck me as slow though. Bidwell isn’t that quick either but has the intelligence to play around it.

I’d also be interested to see him play left back. Great on the ball with more about him defensively than Dasilva. He did get forward a fair bit while playing on the left of a 3. Feel like he could be moulded into an evolved version of Bidwell.

    Luis Binks

Agreed. I really rate Binks but not sure the deal will make sense for us, and a bit of experience might’ve helped us in certain games (Preston, Blues etc)

We overpaid for Kitching because it was up against the deadline and we didn’t have any other options. Shouldn’t do it again, that kind of fee would be a significant chunk of our summer budget I’d imagine.

Lati is getting unnecessary flack, he is a squad player but has been forced into playing every minute recently due to the Sakamoto injury.

There’s better uses of £4m+. <2 and I’d think about it.

Ran into him in the Hilton before the match and gave him a thumbs up so I take full credit for his performance

    Midfield next year

With both fit Torp will play when we need to break down a side while Eccles will be more useful in away matches against the top teams. Plenty of rotation for fitness too.

Match Thread Coventry City v Manchester United - FA Cup Semi-Final

Exactly. I’m sure I’ll look back on today fondly but it’s always going to sting knowing we were a toe, a crossbar, a penalty or two away from winning. Same as we were last year.
