Then why on earth was Eccles left on last game? He was clearly absolutely fucked.

So now got two strikers on who both want to occupy the same space and tend to be there to finish chances. Wright hasn't been great but at least he's a bit different.

    Care homes

I still think that money gained from inheritance should be classified as income and paid by the person receiving. It then offers the opportunity to drip feed it via a trust etc and thus last longer and potentially help more of your descendants for longer, but also potentially takes a huge...

I agree, but I'm including that as total assets. If you want to pass on a house then that probably takes up a fair chunk. TBH I did just pick a nice round figure at random. I've not done some in depth analysis on what it should be.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

It's not even especially relevant to the discussion really. People of that generation had the ability to buy social housing they were renting for a small price. They also had access to final salary pensions. Kids these days don't have those options, so even if they have managed to get...

Top 100 Cov players of all time

I wouldn't say I didn't rate him, but I definitely feel he is/was thought or more highly than he deserved. He was no more than average for all but his last season and his set pieces were the same shite pretty much every time - floated to the near post. Often his thinking was above that of his...

    Care homes

I agree to a point. You should be able to leave your family with a roof over their head and food on the table. But when it gets into vast fortunes I disagree - no-one should be given that amount of wealth and privilege just because of who they're related to. Trouble is the current system is...

You've already told us that your daughter lived with you rent free so not comparable with the average person who has rent etc to pay.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Of course you can be happy about that, and want the same opportunities for yourself, your children and other people in general. But it is an unfortunate fact at this moment that they had those opportunities and the current generation don't. And it's likely the future generations will have even...

While they have earned it, they'll have also had conditions that were favourable that you never will. More affordable housing, final salary pensions etc. The post war generation have had it pretty sweet overall in comparison to other generations.
