    Wasps downward spiral...

As an aside, I note London Irish are also in the European Challenge Cup. Is it really impossible for a Premiership team not to qualify for Europe?

    Pathetic yesterday

Didn’t leave the ground until about 6pm and it took 50 minutes in a taxi to get to New Street station.

Back at the Ricoh in January

Had a brief chat with Boddy yesterday. No truth to this rumour although that’s not to say we won’t be back this season, which he hopes is the case (and expected to be the case).

A third is a rather arbitrary figure, I’d be surprised if the percentage is in double figures in practice. Though I’d be all for DWP reform; I spent a short amount of time signing on when I left university before I got a job and the expectation is you apply for 3 jobs a week. I applied for 35 in...

    Things that annoy you

Do you know what - I started thinking that actually it’s probably worth it for them to use their profile to help raise money. Then the Dragons Den cast show up who could raise the £35m raised so far within about 4 seconds, and all of a sudden I agree with you.

    Things that annoy you

The tv show, maybe you have a point. I’d like to think that me and 6 others collecting outside Nuneaton train station this morning weren’t just doing so to raise our profile.

Jesus wept. Now you’ve explained it it actually looks worse.

    Killers to play the Ricoh

Bugger. Big fan of the Killers but would rather not see my money support the Wasps. Might go to one of the other dates on the tour.

    a) you get NI cards at 16; b) I hadn’t thought that far ahead, go away.

    Is Maddison a joker?

I understand bringing Oxlade in - the formation is made for a player of his dynamism and he’s getting back into the swing of things. Mount over Maddison though? Nah.

Silly idea to say free to UK citizens only. Much easier and more sensible to have people produce their National Insurance details. Could even link some sort of credits to NI profiles dependent on how long you’ve paid in.

    More Wasps BS?

Why is it that shouty mouth-breathers have such a penchant for the insult of leftie?

    General Election 2019 thread

Does that not suggest that the majority isn’t in fact on board with the idea of independence but are more accepting of left-of-centre/left wing policies? I don’t know an awful lot about Scottish politics but I understand that Labour up there under Blair/Brown were terrible. If someone could...

Especially now the Saddlers Club has closed down. That was perfect pre-match.

    Liverpool City

Doesn’t seem to be an issue in cricket or rugby. That said, there are a few referees in football with seemingly over-inflated egos. Peter Walton in the BT studio is one I can’t abide by. Show the incident on the big screen, make the radio channel between referee and VAR accessible and it would...

    Is Maddison a joker?

Indeed, I messaged SkyBet during the Mowbray season to request odds for him being in England’s Euro 2020 squad. They never got back to me unfortunately. Regretting not going into a betting shop to request odds now!

    More Wasps BS?

I have a feeling that long-term we will see a European Super League break off and the English leagues revert to a salary cap system when two or three of the bigger mid-table clubs go pop.

Why have you diverted from inheritance tax to pensions now?

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

There’s no attributable quotes to back up the notion that it’ll be reduced to £125k. Besides, knowing the progressive nature of Labour’s tax initiatives it’ll be incremental tax bands up from that rather than a set %age as it is currently.
