I wouldn’t be considering that we’d compete with them in our first season back, no. That said, he’s the right profile of player to develop for a couple more seasons in the hope of challenging up the right end in seasons to come. The kid is clearly a goal scorer.

Not a bad suggestion actually. One year remaining on his contract and performed in L2 and L1 in the last two seasons, didn’t really get an opportunity back at Forest last season. If he could be picked up for a reasonable fee I think it’d be a good move.

Those bottom three kits are rank. The last kit in D isn’t much better.

Reminder: they owe out £81m in transfer fees and only have £5m coming inwards. Huge deficit to fill before they can think of spending. This is the danger with not selling players at the top of their cycle.

It’s comical. So blatant. £3.8m would build a new exhibition hall for Christ’s sake. Doesn’t really come into it that CCC are the freeholder, it’s on a long-term leasehold and therefore ACL are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep. Does ACL pay any ground rent to CCC? If so, we need to...

Still can’t get my head around how the lease reverts back to the council if it is used as security against the retail bonds. This would mean the bonds are effectively unsecured as there’s no ability to sell of the asset and realise the value.

Most likely. What I’ve never really understood is why if ACL had to have rent payments so high to cover the loan, they couldn’t have in essence loaned us the funding to buy into the stadium on the same (or, if they have to be seen to operate profitably, slightly worse) terms and our ‘rent’...

HS2 in its entirety is not at all needed. Improved rail infrastructure between the midlands and the north is though. I’d have started with that stage of the project but was never going to happen.
