It’s not happening, obviously bs from the JH account. Even if it was a 1 year loan wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. He might be shit but he’s rapid, could do a job coming off the bench against tired defences.

To be honest I wouldn’t mind binning them both (and the keeping coach) and starting completely fresh. There’s something not right with our keeping setup over the last few years.

That's also my point. Would I be happy if Simms and Wright are sold next summer and BTA is our #1 striker for 25/26? Not on the evidence of his last couple of seasons.

Just a nonsensical comparison. BTA is a striker, O'Hare isn't.

Simms was £3.5m + add ons, not 8. Wright was £7.7m Just not sure we needed to spend £2-3m on an average championship striker. Could have been a bit more adventurous in the market.

Just feels expensive @£2-3m.

I said it was a decent signing. Just not sure he has the upside some of our others do, and it won’t be an insignificant fee. But that’s fine if it gets us promoted.

Think it’s a decent signing for where we are but will say that shelling out millions (and presumably decent wages too) on a 25 yo off the back of a fairly average season worried me slightly.

Don’t get your hard on for EMC, who you’ve presumably seen play for less than 2 full matches tops, over Wright who was one of our best players last season. It’s weird.
