Don't do that fella. Allow yourself this swansong. This could be the last time for a while that we get to come together in decent numbers and show the fuckers what we're about. I'd like to think you were there.

    Jodi Jones

Jones is a kid, playing in the wrong side at the wrong time. He has bags of ability, but he clearly needs to develop. We have seen glimpses of it - he turned the game on its head at Wycombe, but its all too fleeting. If I were him, I'd be looking to get the hell out.

    Idiots 2

I'm not blind to it, I could see from where I was sat people applauding (ironically); I just don't get the eagerness to criticise the JHW group for small groups acting independently. How much power do you think they have? All they can do is continue to do what they do and protest...

    Idiots 2

Saying they understand it, isn't excusing it. Their statement last week was very clear I thought. Today, I sit not far from people involved in that group, and when the balls were thrown, they looked quite confused. Ultimately, they are a protest group, and while they can (and have) condemned...

Fisher is not running the club at the moment anyway. He is never there apparently. Wasn't at the game today again. Venus is nowhere to be seen. Nobody knows who is in charge. You have a handful of overworked, underpaid backroom staff spinning plates. Sounds like chaos behind the scenes.

    Idiots 2

Could be wrong, but it seems some people are trying to directly attribute the piss-poor defending that led to the goal to a few tennis balls and a brief stoppage a few moments earlier. Wow, just wow.

    Anyone for Tennis ?

I think you're missing the point to a degree. This season it will end up being our lowest average home attendance in our history. So, current gates are far from typical - because historically they are decidedly abnormal. We have hit rock bottom, relegation awaits, no ground, no hope yada yada...

Match Thread Coventry v Millwall Match Thread - Saturday 4th Feb

Yeah, nice guy. That place costs me a fortune though. My eldest is something of a geek and can lose herself for hours in that place.

Not sure what relevance that has? Brighton are losing millions, but I don't see many questioning their right to be where they are. I do take your general point though. We are where we are, because that's where we currently deserve to be, just as Burton Albion deserve to be playing in the...

    Anyone for Tennis ?

Like I said, not for today. Another disrupted game would indeed be divisive. I was just making the point that, as a form of protest, it has been done before and is not as silly as some were making out. I wouldn't encourage that today though. The timing of these things is important. Perhaps...

    Anyone for Tennis ?

Tennis ball protests have been done elsewhere a number of times and have received a lot of positive publicity. Dortmund: Blackpool: Sevilla: I'm not suggesting we should all be heading to Decathlon to stock up before today's game, but I also don't get the negativity. To me, it seems...

Perhaps people should wait until the night of the game before passing judgement. There may well be a surge in demand, and likely a big walk-up. Even if ultimately it is 'only' 15K, that is still very decent for this competition. It will be our biggest gate of the season by a mile, block 15...

Why didnt we sell any of our talented youngsters???

I'd be surprised with that. Crowds are well down on last year, we exited the major cup competitions early, and there have been no player sales that have generated significant cash. Fisher has openly said that player sales are used to balance the books. Not saying the theory in the OP is...

Why didnt we sell any of our talented youngsters???

I'll defer to you on that. Not entirely sure how the compensation thing works and how much we'd likely get.

Why didnt we sell any of our talented youngsters???

The odd one is Haynes. We turned down 100K from Wolves for a player who is out of contract soon and who was happy to go.

Ticket sales for the semi have started well...

Well, mine aren't. Why would they? They'll be loads of kids at both games. Fully expect both games to pass without incident, at least without any incidents that might be regarded as intimidating. Since SU, nothing has happened during the games at home, aside from the odd chant. Protests...

    Wycombe

My eight year old lad, who I am struggling to keep interested and who I had to drag to the Fleetwood game is suddenly bouncing and wishing the time away til Tuesday. That alone fills me with excitement. Can't wait.

Ticket sales for the semi have started well...

It's just short of 7K, not including away fans or corporate. With 5 days of sales to go, plus a healthy walk-up, should be decent enough.

Ticket sales for the semi have started well...

Tickets now open on general sale. Had a quick look and surprised at how many seats have become available overnight. Looks like the majority of season ticket holders didn't bother to get their seat during the priority sale period. Be interesting to see what demand is like today.
