    Essentially the Aussie rugby team!

Washington surprised me how effective they were in all departments. It wasn't even that close in the end, thanks to the bonkers second quarter. Hurts looked a bit of a liability for the Birds, with that safety and the number of yards he lost with sacks, but the defense stepped up and limited...

    Death List 2025

My sister was a big Osmonds fan back in the day - and not just Donny. Wayne was a real talent.

Nice to make him suffer a bit in the first instance!

UK Health Security Agency and their pointless nanny-state "cold weather health alerts". Yes, it's the first week in January. It gets a bit chilly! FFS - the moral fibre in this country has gone down the fucking toilet!

    Death List 2024

Oh no! That is dreadfully sad news. A broadcasting legend and wonderful person. He didn't sound well when he "signed off" from his radio show just a few weeks ago.

Nice to see the Eagles spank Dallas last night. As the commentary team said "it doesn't matter who is at QB, this O-line gets the job done" (yeah, unless you are playing the Commanders, seemingly!). Pickens was Ok, but McKee did really well at stand-in.

I was fearing the worst when i saw it was only 8 minutes, when they usually manage to find about 15 minutes-worth for most games. I suspect the NFL YT channel will just re-badge it as the "worst plays of week 17" reel!

Jeezus - just sat through all 8 minutes of "highlights" of last night's game between Seahawks and Bears. Awful level of quality! They were vaunting Caleb Williams for not having thrown an interception in 354 passes. That's probably because he doesn't get to pass it that often, being sacked 67...

    Things that annoy you

My annoyance with it is that it spawned the careers of two of the most objectionable smug twats in the "entertainment" industry - James Corden and Rob Brydon. W*nkers to a man!

Why so many empty seats ?

That may be the case, but if i was the safety manager, i would want to know how many people were in the stadium!

Why so many empty seats ?

Real bugbear of mine - the "attendance" figure should be the number of people in the ground (which they can count at the speed of light by the turnstiles scanning barcodes on tickets and STs), NOT the number of seats they have sold.

Wilson had a poor game last night for Pittsburgh, and their D left Kelce uncovered far too much. Made it look easy for KC.

Hurts is only just re-learning how to be mobile again after his injury at the end of the regular season in 2022 - it has been on his mind ever since. I'm looking forward to the Steelers beating KC tomorrow! I think Goff's play action library is a thing of beauty - but Allen's mobility is off the...

Pickett didn't do too much wrong when he came in for Hurts, but it was a bad day for the Philly defense - it's been on the cards for a while. Luckily they only have to face the Cowboys then Giants so SHOULD finish 14-3, but they should have won last night!

    Germany *again*

I don't know about Broadgate, but there will be *some* measures in place. At Warwick Uni, the potential "crowded spaces" are designed in consultation with Counter-Terrorism police to reduce the possibility/impact of vehicle attacks. It's all very subtle but very effective, i understand.

    Germany *again*

Irrespective of the religious/ideological rabbit hole down which this thread has disappeared, it was a massive security cock-up by the German police. I was at a market in Northern France a couple of weeks ago, and let me tell you, there is no way any vehicle attack was getting anywhere near...

    How is Aled Williams employed?

Agreed - of course, you have be made of certain "stuff" to want to be a keeper, like throwing yourself around and having footballs kicked at you very hard, and there will always be good shots, unlucky deflections and defenders going AWOL that you can't do much about, but there are things all of...

    Manchester Airport Incident

    Brad Collins

I think Aled Williams must be the weak link - he manages to turn "promising" new signings into no-hopers inside half a season. They can't do the basics right, so the coaching must be at fault. Probably spending too much time in training getting him to pass out from the back. Shame they are...
