Think he was above average in most in possession stats last season. Always willing to receive the ball and tries to do the right thing with it. Had a number of costly errors that stick in peoples minds though.

It’s funny how people look at his struggles at Chelsea and Everton and conclude he wouldn’t do anything here. If a player couldn’t make it in the prem we wouldn’t write them off as being useless for us? Obviously management and playing are very different, but I think it’s an interesting parallel.
