Wasps takeover bid could be agreed in private

I am sure you will agree the whole ccfc affair going back for years is murkier than a duck pond and like many duck ponds you will never quiet see the bottom. As for this Wasp thing I have to admit I am a bit more open minded than some on here and would like to see as much detail as possible...

Wasps takeover bid could be agreed in private

I think most of us have enough intelligence to decide if there is a bias anywhere. Not sure about ACL bias just what could that be, they are the stake holders along with the Higgs charity, half each isn't it so I assume one can't move without the other.

What happened to the stolen away kit?

Wasps takeover bid could be agreed in private

Perhaps to stop no mark reporters putting a biased mark on things.

Wasps takeover bid could be agreed in private

Why is it horrendous ? You must remember councils have a duty to the city to bring in money, jobs etc and the re-generation of that part of the city has been an objective of our council whether it be labour controlled or tory for years. The area around the Ricoh apart from the Tesco bit is a...

"Let’s be clear, we absolutely want the football club to stay at the Ricoh"

I was told yesterday that if and he emphasised if this Wasp proposal becomes real and all the cards are put on the table, there will be little objection from the football fans and it could be the first steps towards returning to the football club we once were. Any deal would incorporate the...

Coventry Observer Article - Kick In The Teeth

Why this constant reference to "London" Wasps, to my knowledge they haven't played home games in London for 10 years or more!!

Slow news day...Let me kick this off....

Stuart Robson was one of the best midfield players we have had here unfortunalely was very injury prone. Started at Arsenal and but for his constant injuries I believe he would have won many England caps, moved to West Ham had similar problems and came here bit of a last ditch attempt to get his...

Get Cov Back to the Ricoh response to Wasps Ricoh Takeover

If this proposal is for real I don't think it has been discussed thoroughly yet, robs thread and letters are quite dramatic but until there is a statement of fact and any details known I think it is a bit early for what he is saying.

    Opinion of CET

The way I see it if Wasps bought a controlling share of the Ricoh they would be the landlord and I am certain would need the revenue a pro. football team would bring in so I see ccfc getting the boot as a no goer. If Sisu did the same they would become the landlord, to me a frightening thought...

Cov RFC do NOT want a merger with Wasps

Think we are jumping the gun, should this happen and Wasps move lock, stock and barrel to the Ricoh why does that mean a merger with Cov RFC, they are a separate entity with their own ground in the centre of Coventry and have their own traditional core support of about 1000 amatch give or...

Cov RFC do NOT want a merger with Wasps

It's only the likes of us that hearing about the possibility of Wasps using the Ricoh have put 2+2 together about a Cov/Wasps merger and perhaps come up with 5. Wasps are big enough and have enough oncome to carry on independently. They have already cut their roots and moved away from London to...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

As said the proposed train station is definitely a factor. Would bring in the crowds straight to the Arena. Rugby does have a lot of support especially top rugger with the top international players and that's money. Was talking to people the other day who would go and watch the top games but...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Probably was but just the £100k or so rent money ? in their world that's not a lot of dosh is it.

Cov RFC do NOT want a merger with Wasps

That is not the feeling I got when Cov Rugby boss Peter Rosborough was interviewed by CWR last week , seemed rather bullish to me. There have been a few amalgamations in the rugby world in the last few years, famous old clubs such as Neath and Swansea now play under the Ospreys umbrella. Some...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

I was told over 2 years ago a senior Rugby Union club were looking at playing at the Ricoh on a regular basis, posted that on here. Thought at the time it was Saracens but looks like perhaps it was Wasps. Now was this the reason the Sixfields thing happened backed by the Northampton Town...

MP says a Wasps' Ricoh move would be good for city

If this Wasps thing is true I think it would be great for the City of Coventry and our football club, might hopefully be the tipping point for Sepalla and friends and bring on a new era for our team' regardless what anyone thinks of Bob Ainsworth I believe he is speaking with some insider...

    Allsop

That is simply not true. Murphy was told way back in January to find a new club, he wanted to stay. As for his so called £8k wages part of that 8k was his signing on fee when he joined. And as said I'm not bothered about Murphy but I am bothered about not replacing him properly and by that I...

Take it from me like Carl Baker Murphy wanted to stay, sisu never offered him a contract and that's fine if the manager wanted to change the goalie for someone else. My question was why haven't we signed a goalkeeper on a permanent basis, In my opinion the most important position in the team...
