    Pre-season

Think Wigan have only won one friendly against high flying Southport and they were in the Premiership less than 2 years ago ! Looks like Saturday is a nailed on 0-0.

Well Done CCFC - Another First

A clever move too, not sure what the average away following is here, it's an attractive venue and central. We get the 2000+ for the Sheffields, Walsalls and Wigans but then there's the Colchesters, Southends and Carlisles If this can push the smaller followings up a few hundred it is much needed...

    It's Dissapointing But....

If you listen carefully to Mowbray's interviews he is as good as saying deals are well in the pipeline but there is a domino effect. I think he is waiting for the go ahead on Dominic Samuel and that would determine what happens next re. a striking partner and others. I was told ages ago Samuel...

    It's Dissapointing But....

Rome wasn't built in a day, Beduff was started hundreds of years ago and still ain't finished !

    i know its

We will be better when it all kicks off, hopefully with at least a couple more players in the bag, still think we will be signing players right up to the deadline whenever that is. Have a feeling Mowbray is keeping some budget back for that

    Oxford United (Nuneaton) Match Thread

48 years ago i am certain we didn't win any of our pre-season matches including Dudley Town away which we drew 2-2, i know that because half a dozen of us went on our push bikes, took a bloody week to get over it. We went on to win the championship and get into the top flight.

    Season Ticket Sales

If we sign a couple of strikers this week say McLeod and one other would that produce a small spurt in ST sales ? there are still plenty of would do's hanging back i believe waiting for the evidence of intent. Without new blood up front it could be seen as same old, same old from sisu.

Burge vs Charles Cook: the battle for number 1

If Charles-Cook is deemed to be the better goalkeeper of the two Tony Mowbray will start with him have no fear of that and if TM sees Burge as number one thats fine by me, he sees him every day i don't. As for signing an experienced keeper they are a very expensive comodity, older 30 odd year...

442 magazine predict City will finish?

Years of mediocrity has affected aspirations of many. We know what a piss poor league this was last season, Bristol City apart none of the others impressed me that much including MK Dons and Preston. I believe Tony Mowbray has that rare gift as a manager of making silk purses from sowes ears...

442 magazine predict City will finish?

Ninth would be disappointing. Considering the management team in place, quality of signings so far with 2 or 3 to come and a sprinkling of youth players coming in a sustained challenge at the top 6 is a minimum for me. We need to lay the Ricoh bogey, do that we challenge.

    SCG Meeting

If sisu have cut the finance strings to make the club self sufficient which is understandable does that mean the whole of any in coming transfer fee is the clubs not sisu's. Thinking of any would be sell on fee from a Wilson transfer

    Wigan (H)

All this bollox about we are a bigger club than you.
