I thought he was much better in general play last night. Dropped in quite a few times and did some nice 2/3 touch link ups. But I don't think we're going to see his best work without proper control in the midfield and a creative player in the advanced/10 role.

We could do with him right now, he would be starting in Rudoni's place every week. Was decent last night. Probably didn't deserve the vitriol, the circumstances behind his exit were very complex.

He's not a 10/attacking mid so I assume the idea behind playing him there is to use his energy for pressing and give us more presence in midfield compared to when BTA is there. For me he just didn't impact the game enough, played slightly too high and seemed to be lacking some fitness.

Yeah but you would at least expect him to get around the pitch.

Thought we needed 3 midfielders after Friday. And hard to drop BTA on current form. Thought the starting line up was fine. Eccles doesn’t quite look fit to me though.
