What's so hard about MVE playing with Saka wide in front of him, which works, and Torp at no 10.
But generally it's been unbelievably slow and hopeless. Something very weird about this teams motivation.
I mean they have 2 more points than us and are 19th. It's not a gimme for Luton away is it?
It's more we expect to lose every game at the minute. Which ain't a plus for Robins.
Interesting to read the Championship squad rules in detail, including loanees.
Championship squad rule
Anyone know the details of our squad registration? Ie. Home grown players, club developed player etc?
This post is in a time warp. We are in a mess and a real fight right now.
Dovin just seems a strange buy. We already had 2 keepers who were a bit nervous, weak in the air and controlling the box and not very vocal. I just expected someone more assertive.
Hopefully he can develop quick but it...
He's a very limited player unable to create much himself and very reliant on other players to line him up on a clear channel to run at goal.
If teams have quality midfielders who can do that for him he will score, we don't have that at the minute.
Agreed. It's mad not to play MVE and Saka together. The only partnership in the whole team that works! And that gives a positive vibe to other players and the fans.
I'd play Wright on the left and Bassette down the middle (for 2 or 3 games at least).
I personally think Robins has so much credit in the bank with fans, the majority would back him even if we were relegated. That's largely an emotional decision.
Doug has a business decision. Relegation will be hugely damaging to the club. Can he oversee that without trying a new manager?
We needed a big, dominating, aggressive, mouthy keeper to come off his line, control the box and help organise our weak ass defense.
Unfortunately Dovin doesn't tick many of those boxes.
Not his fault. It's a recruitment issue.
