I'd rather have someone with genuine pace than a target man tbh

He'd be a really good signing

    Not good News

Not surprising, all this talk of returning is bull. I'd be surprised to see us at the Ricoh this season

Did SP sign the wrong players?

It's even stranger when you think he let Adams go when he would have made a very good wing back, he was losing the plot at the end of last season as well when he was playing Seaborne and Willis at left back and Adams left midfield.

Maybe he could have made a difference but it isn't as simple as you make out.

Higdon reportedly asked for 6k a week wage which alone is more than 300k, then with other fee's and costs probably 600k. I also doubt we got 3 million upfront in cash for Wilson.

    Tough man

Pressley has openly said we are not looking for another midfielder, he must think Thomas and Daniels are up to the task.

10% of the Wilson wouldn't get us even one of those players and your obsession with McDonald is boring.

Didn't see the Bradford game but Haynes was far better than Pugh last night, Pugh never got forward once last night. Doesn't look like he has the legs to play wing back tbh. Whilst we're talking about him, his defensive qualities shone through against Bradford for sure when both crosses came...

Would anyone like Robins back at Cov

No, I think he's a decent manager but not what we need.

    Mcqoid

I thought he did well considering we were awful whilst he was on the pitch, he shown himself for the ball. Held it up well and ball retention was very good, didnt really look like threatening the opposition goal though.

Like I said earlier, I thin Mcquoids general play looks decent but he didn't really ever look like ever scoring.

    My Thoughts for Saturday

Pretty much agree with everything, Pugh and Clarke aren't wing backs. Haynes was much better in the role, not sure if Phillips is suited but deserves a shot ahead of Clarke. Midfield 3 pretty much picks itself due to a lack of number, Pressley will probably select Thomas though but I would go...

Adams and Christie would have made ideal wing backs this season

    Pressley

No doubt we were shit for 60 minutes, the last 30 minutes were positive and I think there were positive to be taken out of the game no matter how slim. Haynes was good when he came on, miles better than Pugh. I thought O'Brien showed some nice touches and shown enough he can be a good addition...

It's fine lines in football so excuse me if I don't join in the misery. We're potentially a player or two or a tweak in system from being a good side at this level.

    Tim Fisher - disgrace

From a Crewe fan on another forum 'Tim Fisher looks like a hobo Coventry have scrubbed up, dressed in a suit and claimed is the CEO.'

    This formation

Clarke and Pugh look clueless at wing back, Haynes was better than both of them in 30 minutes.

O'Brien looks to show some good touches, I think we have some good ball players but don't have any pace and power.

Agreed Swanson was appalling up alongside Mcquoid, he done decent when he dropped in to midfield.
