You have to wonder whether the club receives any share of F&B, parking, etc. If the rent is increased to let say £2m+ to use your example, with no additional revenue from the stadium apart from ticketing and board sponsorship that poses a fairly sizeable problem.

Yeah on the face of it it's a weird one. The only thing i can think of is he's looking at buying stadia of distressed clubs at below market value and selling them for profit to other third parties after pumping some money in for improvements.

The point is, I've heard it's already too high. Push it up anymore and it's very much in inflexible territory. As I've already mentioned, medium-long term that's a problem if we stagnate in the Championship over that period.

I would imagine they would have to submit a new planning application for that which would need to be accepted. Probably more informed people than me on here that can shed light on this though.

The rent is already far too high apparently. I definitely share DK's concern if he's been told or even caught wind that it's likely to increase upon the club extending its license or lease dependent on what's agreed. It's not sustainable if we remain in the Championship, that's an objective fact.

West Brom and Blackburn are in midtable form and have been for some time. That by definition is slipping up given their current standing. Blackburn have picked up slightly in recent games but it remains to be seen whether they can keep it up.

It's more that they're heavily reliant on him to play a certain way and pretty much everything goes through him. Makes it more difficult for them to find any kind of flow when he's not in the side. To be fair though they won against Swansea without him, although I'm not sure I'd use that game...
