Debt Increases with a new "mortgage"

If it was such common practise, why have the clubs (including ours..) voted to outlaw it, with the punishment being a transfer embargo? Doesn't sound standard to me. At any rate we'll be the last club to do it now.

That's fine Macca, we know from your "witticisms" that you don't really get excited or passionate about Coventry City FC. Maybe try Arsenal?

I have had just about enough............

OK...NOW I've just about had enough of SISU!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

    Average age of the squad

Might have to re-calculate that before the window closes, it'll be the youth team on the park. They'll be selling anyone worth anything in the next few weeks if the emergency loan is anything to go by!

Debt Increases with a new "mortgage"

Are you calling Joe Elliott, and Gary Hoffman, liars? And you think Brody et al are telling the truth?! Think I'll side with the Coventry fans who've been on the board with this one...

Thanks Snozzer, it can't have been easy keeping quiet, and I massively appreciate the heads-up. As soon as I saw the CT headlines today I knew that this was the start of what you've alluded to. And indeed, the notion of SISU somehow, incredibly, expecting to make money out of the deal..well, no...

Well I said earlier it was entertainingly diverting whilst I was at work. At home, it does just look like nothing. If there is truth to it, he can't prove it anyway but I'm still glad it was posted because there's no major damage done. But yeah, like people who have bought a season ticket are...

    Pacheco on Loan

Surely you don't mean the recently departed (no, not dead) former Bristol City "winger"? ;)

I'm more confused than ever now. I can't imagine what way the fans can have a choice in anything like this. Unless we're expected to mount a huge protest against Hoffs bid being rejected? Whilst there'll be unrest, last years lame protests showed how soon it fades if results on the pitch are ok...

I have had just about enough............

I guess it means top-flight club. Which we were for a very long time. "The Entertainers" season was pretty glorious (well, at home, anyway). Dion & Huck was fantastic fun (though not for Chelsea!). So was the Magical Micky Quinn Xmas under Bobby Goulds wonderfully idiosyncratic stewardship...

I have had just about enough............

Nah they all think they have a right to claim to be from "Birminghamshire". Bloody Blues, Wolves and Villa fans everywhere stinking the place out. In Leam I know 2 City fans, 5 Villa fans, 4 Blues, 3 Wolves, 2 Leicester, 2 Man U, 1 Liverpool, 1 Newcastle and 1 Arsenal. We're the nearest club and...

    Interesting

Well that's a no brainer. To quote Father Jack in Father Ted, "I'm a happy camper!" with Uncle Joe and The Red Star Gang. It's pretty simple-Joe has the clubs best interests at heart, so does Hoffman as a Sky Blue fan who is a financial expert (pretty much exactly what we need). SISU are...

    Interesting

So if it isn't good news, it's bad? That sounds like: a) Player sales. OR b) Takeover shenanigans. If b) and it's bad, it probably means: a) SISU say "get bent, Hoff!" b) It turns out Hoff aint attracted much investment after all. c) Orange Ken is our new striker. Presumably...

Mmm, is the Nuneaton game really that big? I mean sure, in a few years when we're BSP rivals together, but not yet! EDIT:See, I'm optimistic! I think Nuneaton will go up!

    Brody...so what's the problem?

So where/when did Brody say this gem, Paxman? I missed that one-I thought he was hiding in Russia? Last I heard he was running around with his fingers in his ears shouting "I can't hear, I can't hear you!!"

I'm really looking forward to August 6th.

The problem isn't AT, who I have massive faith in-I am looking forwards to the new season, as ever, and no matter what I know we'll try and play good football. But there's only so much Thorn can do. My disillusionment is caused by ending the season on a massive high, amid promises that if we...

    Players unsure on new signings

Or 433 with 3 stretched, but very offensive, strikers. Platt or Lukas in the middle, McSheff, Baker or Freddy down either side, maybe Super Roy down the right (pace/can play wide). That's what AT tried before the diamond. The key is that Bell stays central so he can use his passing range and...

thorn"no point in rushing for signings"

Ha, yeah that's why I wrote my biggest ever post on another thread (Lukas one I think) about why I'm NOT negative. Just looking at what's going on, and feeling a bit miffed, and worried. It was bloody hard work at times last year, grinding through that winless run, with all the communication...
