What was your favourite ever season watching city in the league

I am sure it was a header too and it was very late on at the kop end.

What was your favourite ever season watching city in the league

We were down the side, I don't know if they even had an away section at the game. We did have chances though and their goalie, George Wood, made some good saves. 3 days later I was on the coach for the League Cup game at Anfield, I think I skipped off school early to get the train to Coventry...

    Steve Hunt

A drab game where the only other thing of note that happened was a quick turn and chip from Hunt that Shilton managed to tip over the bar. I am sure he was interviewed in the program and he mentioned how his martial arts training helped him to keep his temper!!

    Famous People(1)

I was at infant & primary school with political journalist/author Andrew Rawnsley. He was on another level to the rest of us and was writing & performing stories in front of the whole school from the age of 6 or 7. We went to different grammar schools & he passed the entrance exam for Rugby...

What was your favourite ever season watching city in the league

I think you've just typed my answer!!! 77/78 was the first full season I started going home & away. Although I only went to 2 games last season, strangely the first & last, even if we went behind I still was fairly confident we would get back into it (obvious exception of Rotherham away). The...

What are you currently listening to?

I remember we always had the radio on on Sundays and we listened to The Jimmy Clitheroe show and records like Camp Grenada were always played, no idea what channel it was though.

    Strengthening in the summer

Not sure we have any chance of permanently signing Ostigard. At the start of the season I was listening to the Monday Night Club on 5live just after he'd joined us & Solskjaer mentioned it and said how highly rated he was and Man Utd and other teams would be watching how he got on

Cringey football terms deserving of a temporary ban

Atkinson used to love saying "they've set out their stall", must have thought he was down the local market.

    Things that annoy you

I've never understood the objections either. They are training and playing at close proximity and there are no objections at a crowded 6 yard box at a corner yet when they score they have to do it at a safe distance?!

    Part 2 of Season 85/86

It's strange going through the fixtures I remember more of the away games, eg getting to Sheff Wed by 11am, breaking down on M6 & missing hammering at Man City, Lloyd McGrath marking Hoddle out of the game at WHL, being 2-0 in first 10 minutes at Forest & then getting hammered whilst Stuart...
