As has been said he pulled away perfectly to receive a cutback from Gyokeres, which never came. He can't affect the poor decision making of his teammates.

His first touch and use of the ball is better than O'Hare. You cannot fault O'Hare's involvement but his pass completion must be abysmal. I always feel when we break Allen will pick the right pass most of the time. Who else is in the team can that be said about?

It is a shame things haven't worked out. It may never be seen whether or not he had the ability to be successful at Championship level. I would like to see how Hyam, Rose and Clarke-Salter would fair. Think McFadzean's form has dropped over the last few games. I think we look better offensively with Allen in midfield but not sure whether Sheaf or Hamer. Sheaf is far more positionally disciplined but Hamer can do something...

He did win two good flick ons to Gyokeres with his head and finished his chance well but I thought it was a very odd non-celebration. Not sure why when he was the opposite v Blackburn.

What surprised me is how bad we have suddenly become with defensive headers. Every time a long throw or a corner came in I fear the worst. McFadzean used to be so dominant in that area.
