    CCFC Phone Call Today

I'd heard the same about the increased interest. In fact, she said ST sales were up 100% week-on-week. Last week they sold one. This week they sold two. ;)

    Can't Seppela be arsed ?

I have a theory, for what it's worth, that like a lot of other hedge funds SISU got battered in the credit downturn and it was after that point (2008-09) that investment in CCFC basically turned to life-support. I think that's what we've been running on ever since. If I'm right, then it isn't...

    New kit

TF (on the phone to Primark): That's correct - 3000 of your cheapest white 'T' shirts, and a pair of blue socks. And, erm, can I borrow your washing machine please, someone stuck a balloon in ours and it's broken.

Interesting that they're saying they can't raise a large purchase order. Otium/CCFC Holdings aren't in administration, so there's nothing stopping them raising a PO as far as I can see it (whether anyone would trust them with credit is a different matter). Obviously they've had to make some...

    Can't Seppela be arsed ?

The fact that SISU have to recycle the same tired faces through all of their businesses, and the size of their premises rather puts the lie to that multi-billion claim, as indeed do their published accounts. Regardless, it's clearly Joy that has the final say. I doubt the guys at this meeting...

    Mark Robins knew the score.....

OK torchy, fair enough, but I've never heard that before. No reason to doubt your word, but have you got a link to it? And like you say, why didn't they renegotiate then, honestly. Or why didn't SISU do it when they first got in. The rent has only become a show-stopping issue recently, and...

    Statement finally released

If voting down the CVA could result in a proper investigation from which there could be either a change of owners and/or a reversal of the transfer of assets out of CCFC Ltd, then it's an entirely proper action for the directors to take. So it is in no way whatsoever illegal for them to take...

    Mark Robins knew the score.....

I'm sorry, but you haven't answered a single question there (they were): Just out of interest, what would be a fair rent for stadium costing £30m - £60m? If it's so unfair, where has all of the egregious profit made from it gone? If it was so unfair, why did CCFC sign up for it without...

Just out of interest, what would be a fair rent for stadium costing £30m - £60m? If it's so unfair, where has all of the egregious profit made from it gone? If it was so unfair, why did CCFC sign up for it without complaint, and why did they only push for a reduction in the last year or so?

    Mark Robins knew the score.....

And you can stack it any way you want, but the simple fact is that that document represents the money paid into the final build, and that without the council it simply doesn't get built. I've got a very clear memory of this too, and the Council investment very nearly didn't happen - in fact it...

    Mark Robins knew the score.....

Absolutely. Because of the cost of the stadium, it seemed a reasonable enough figure at the time the deal was signed. It also seemed a reasonable enough figure to SISU when they took over, and indeed was reasonable enough to them for a few years after that. In fact, it only seemed to get a...

    Statement finally released

Can we just nail down this illegal thing. It is absolutely not illegal for the directors of ACL to decline to sign the CVA. Their duty is to act in the best interests of the company, and given all of the circumstances they could reasonably argue that ACL's best chance of a future return is to...

Bomb Squad not even allowed treatment?

We're a club with a multi-million turnover and we can't afford to keep our most valuable assets in good order. Some kind of false economy there. When you've got a player that you're paying, in effect, a few thousand pounds for per game, then he doesn't have to miss many games to make even an...

It did happen, I'm sorry if that doesn't suit your perspective on this, but it did. See official report and cost breakdown. linked by JG above.

Is the CVA delay positive or negative ?

Must confess that I've not heard that rumour before - where did you get that from?

    Mark Robins knew the score.....

All fair enough, but please don't buy this myth that there's no taxpayers' money in the stadium. Cov CC put £10m in as a grant, and now hold £14m as a mortgage. Higgs trust paid £6.5m for CCFC's 50% share, part cash, part debt write-off.

Is the CVA delay positive or negative ?

Personal opinion, I think the delay is positive. I thnk SISU would like this all to go away now, and I can't help but think that it's ACL who are stalling, perhaps in the hope of further investigations and/or pressure on the FL to change their stance.

Bomb Squad not even allowed treatment?

I guess you might take your senior physio, but I'd be surprised if there wasn't someone on the club payroll that he wouldn't normally see in this situation. Even then, would you expect your players to pay for their treatment? Looks a lot like spite, to me.

Bomb Squad not even allowed treatment?

If any of our players have to pay for private treatment to get fit more quickly, then we've really lost sight of what's important at the club.

Bomb Squad not even allowed treatment?

Two reasons. One, maybe the payoff wasn't for the full value of his contract, or even close to it. Two, he's been here before and forced his way back into the squad. In fact given our record with managers it's not unreasonable to assume there will be someone else in charge long before McSheff...
