Well if what I was reading yesterday that the home team gets all away gate revenue, they'd be stupid not to give us more if the demand is there. I can't imagine they fill all their home space. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh, and those rates are plus VAT. So Stupot, your estimates would take it to about £130-£160 per room. Can be higher, can be lower depending on hotel in question. P.League requirements are greater so overall cost a lot higher. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bear in mind, L1 and L2 clubs twin up quite a lot to keep costs down. It also depends on which night of the week as well. Tuesday nights command more than a Friday for example. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

See the away stays thread. That's my line of work but a quick (and average/rough) answer would be £1.5/2k for an overnight of a L1 squad in a 4* brand hotel with dinner, breakfast and lunch/pre-match meal. WM

How to go about getting a signed shirt done?

I might be able to help. I know one of the players agents. PM me if you're still stuck and I'll see what I can do.

Best start to a season since

I just hope people give Maddison a few games to get back into it. People will he expecting him to run the show from his first game back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Really? Wow... I wasn't aware of that. If that is the case, you'd wonder why Cov are one of a few clubs on that "shouldn't pay less than £20 for an away ticket" brigade. If we're getting all money (or majority) from away ticket sales for home games, then we'd be ripping off the away teams...

In his defence, if he's been 'wronged' in the work place, he has every right to portray evidence to show he's been unfairly treated.

I see he's going for the hipster look now. Be interesting to see what else he might wish to report if he's free from gagging orders (insert joke here).

Normally, they'll travel on the day but still have a pre-match meal somewhere, normally a hotel. They won't train on the morning/afternoon of a game other than maybe a light walk somewhere if it's a quiet-ish area. For a 3pm kick off, they'd probably have their PMM late morning and then head to...

    Over night stays

The costs, whilst great to you or I, aren't actually that great to a club and despite football generally 'having a lot of money', they do push back on costs as much as they can and know exactly what they should be paying for. There's a number of ways you could look at the cost though...if a...

I know Norwich have a few flights due to their location, Bournemouth also. And you're right, we rarely do it, even compared to other L1 teams. To be fair, it's not as though it's worked against us/for other teams. And a lot depends on the 1st team managers preferences. Most would want to be...

    Over night stays

That's more the exception than the rule I'd say though LS. I've seen an increase in rail travel. With the same thing though...the team coach picks them up at their arrival point and transports them to the hotel. And it's mainly Prem teams only who would do this...I guess the likes of Plymouth...

Do we not get a cut of away revenue?

    Over night stays

Fair comment Rupert. I guess that the more we get through the doors, the less impact overnight stays would have on the playing budget if the money is coming from that pot of cash. I've booked tickets to my first game of the season, away at Swindon. Every little helps and all that!

    Over night stays

I know that we don't but if we did, simple maths would say at £2k an average...actually, scrap that, probably £1.5k average for an average L1 team, then over 23 away games, you're looking at just under £35k per season. But then you have to factor in any transport costs as well as away ties in...

    Over night stays

£2k would be average. If you've got a midweek evening game, a team might coach/train to a hotel for lunchtime, then have rooms on a day-let basis with a pre-match meal, in which case it'll be cheaper (as day lets are cheaper than overnights.
