Last year my son and sister bought me some CDs and amongst them was Alone In The Universe by Jeff Lynne's ELO. Never been a big fan so never played it but thought I'd give it a go last night. I love it ! Just goes to show just because a band/artist doesn't appeal to you years ago, that don't mean...

Tighten the defence up would be a start. League One keepers are all about the same, make mistakes, make good saves. The two we've got I feel would improve even more if our defence gave them more confidence. Slade will see this I'm sure.

Can't recall that but obviously it did. My sister lived in Tile Hill that time and me and my dad would drink in the Black Prince when we'd go and see her. Was there a pub called The Star around there too ?

    U2-Joshua Tree

A mate of mine like me is a huge rock fan and recently was talking about the band Foghat. He kept on saying how great they are/were but I had to own up and admit I'd never heard of them. His face a picture of shock like The Scream !

Maybe a nice coincidence ? Two tracks on the album could be changed to One Tree Jimmy Hill and Bullet The Sky Blue ? Sorry !

    U2-Joshua Tree

In the year we won the Cup 87 U2 released The Joshua Tree and to mark the anniversary of the album they're doing a world tour, and the concerts will see the band performing all the tracks. It is a great album but got me thinking what other bands album would you like to see be performed again ...

You'll love it down there but make sure the dogs don't dive in the lake as the Swans are protective of their young. Saw a Staffie go in once and two swans tried to drown it with their wings, only just got out alive !

98 Years Old And Still Works Out

Yes makes you feel inadequate ! They're freaks of nature I reckon. When I worked as a labourer on the railways many years ago a bloke in our gang was skinny and about nine stone wet. Yet he was the strongest of us all and yet drank and smoked and never had a day off. We all called him the Alien !

98 Years Old And Still Works Out

Great piece in the paper today about a bloke aged 98 who goes to the gym 5 times a week and does 90 minute work outs. Shows him lifting weights, crunches, rowing, bike, and press ups. The blokes awesome as he only visits his doctor twice a year. Amazes me how age is no barrier,he looks really...

If you want to go to the Slough you can park right outside the reserve. Do you know the Bird In Hand pub ? Its close to the boozer or the chippy we mentioned okay ? You can't miss it.

Its situated between Wood End and Aldermans Green. As I'm in Bell Green it's handy for good walks. Its been cleaned up well over the years and lots of wildlife etc.

I went down the Slough a week ago and it's a nice nature reserve and great for walking. Sadly no boats on the water anymore and hasn't been for many years. But it's nice there to get away from noisy neighbours ! And the chippy is doing a roaring trade even without the Miners being there and serve...
