    Retained list

I am feeling nervous about possible whole scale changes. However, they usually get it right when they let players go.

    The Jones Enigma

Yea I get that. From the outside it can seem it has been a waste of a year. However, it maybe exactly what he needed for his long term recovery.

    The Jones Enigma

It's a shame we can't hold off until after pre-season to make a decision. Last pre-season there was understandably a lot of hesitancy regarding his reintroduction. Now after accruing months of training and some game time across first team and mainly u23s, he is in a better place and could...

I agree. Despite not being his usual position, I think Josh Eccles looks more accomplished as a wing back. It's a shame Jack Burroughs didn't get more game time at Ross County too as he looked as though he could be cover for that position too.

It worries me making too many changes to what is already a thread bare squad. Maybe Robins has been given more cash to spend than expected. I don't see how quality players can be added whilst also getting in new fringe players (sign on fees and possible higher wages).

I would be disappointed if Dabo went. Like a few of our players injuries are a concern, but he fits our way of playing really well.

Hopefully he hasn't pulled his hamstring again with some of those moves!

    Josh Eccles Injury

I didn't spot him in the footage of players entering for awards night. Sheaf was there in his airboot but no Eccles. If it was a minor one I reckon he would have been able to attend.

    Josh Eccles Injury

He was returning from a calf injury I think, not hamstring. I wonder if he tweaked it a little earlier when stretching for Allen's cross-field pass, which he failed to keep in.

    Josh Eccles Injury

He will need to get it scanned to find out the degree of rupture. Going by the fact he couldn't hobble off I imagine it is the worst type. Hopefully I am wrong.

Thanks for all the work and creativity. Some effort that and talent too. Nice touch at the end.

Match Thread Stoke City (A) - Sat 7th May 12:30

Hopefully Robins doesn't bring Godden on. He has had one day's training. It would be stupid to risk it as he has nothing to prove. Same could be said of Eccles.

Match Thread Stoke City (A) - Sat 7th May 12:30

I hope so. It is unusual to drop a keeper unless they make a serious error or it is a cup match. It is one of Robins' odd decisions. Makes me wonder if there is something else going on.

Match Thread Stoke City (A) - Sat 7th May 12:30

I cannot understand Shipley starting in midfield. How many opportunities has he had and not taken. Really annoying, especially after recently getting sent off for dissent in u23 match. What message does that send out? If he wants to give him a swan song bring him on in the last 30 seconds. I...

    Home form

True, however our early season run of home victories included Peterborough, Reading and Cardiff. Forest were dire at the beginning of the season and Middlesbrough were not doing well either.

    Home form

I have mentioned it on previous threads but I don't think the pitch preparation helped. There were a couple of games where the pitch looked heavy and yet the sprinklers were on. I can't remember which match it was but Godden missed a chance getting his footwork all wrong, which I think was to do...
