Are SISU vindicitive enough to liquidate Otuim ?

A bit like the way they dropped 60m on CCFC Ltd. You don't need to liquidate to dump debt, Ltd could have been sold as a going concern to someone else and still used a a debt dump, had SISU wanted to do it that way.

Are SISU vindicitive enough to liquidate Otuim ?

There's nothing stopping them doing that, going into admin, and paying themselves (as presumably the main creditors) pennies in the pound, and still selling the remnant off. A bit like the CCFC Ltd farce. There's no need to liquidate the club to do that.

Unless, of course, the seller doesn't have a need to sell. Or the seller has a legal duty to prove that they've gained the best possible return for the asset in question. And the market value of a car or a house, represents the market value on the open market, and typically takes into account...

Are SISU vindicitive enough to liquidate Otuim ?

I still don't see why SISU would liquidate, gaining nothing, if there's the option to sell for something. I don't doubt their unpleasantness to deal with, it's part of why we are were are, but I don't think they're dumb enough to turn down even a relatively small return if that's all that's on...

Ah, everyone knows that 62% of statistics are completely made up. ;) In terms of the blame game, I think it's clear that there are three groups. Mostly/All SISU's fault, Mostly/All ACL's fault, Equal blame. I'm not sure the proportions within those groups really matter, or are likely to...

    has les been silenced

I feel some obligation here to stand up for Les. We hold very different views on the the SISU/ACL stuff, but to give him some credit he will engage with you in detail about it if you email him and ask him why he holds those opinions. He's a fan, like us. I've got more than one friend that I...

    Ricoh Valuation.

In fairness in finance I've seen mm used quite a lot in this sense. It's certainly not an SI unit though. Anyway, I'm off to stretch my legs for a few furlongs. I might stop by the pub for a quart of ale, followed by an eighth of a gill of something warming. I'll leave the yard to the big...

I stand to be corrected, but I don't believe the council have a controlling interest in ACL.

Chief, that is by far the smartest post I've read in a while. Can we elect you head of the FA, please. :D

The Judicial Review - when is it?

I tihnk in High Court terms getting a date within a few months would be considered unusually rapid - iirc the Council have asked for an early date (which perhaps suggests they have some confidence in their case), I presume SISU will want the same.

    Ricoh Valuation.

Blimey, remind me not to get you in as a valuation agent. I hate to shoot you down here, but you're just using ACL's figures based on the revenue you think they may receive from the club. ACL themselves claim a lot more than that as revenue, and show more both in their past books and...

    Sky Blues Trust Guardian link

Good memory. The problem is that there's no legal aid for defamation. Court costs can run into tens of thousands. If you're telling the truth, or it's fair comment (even if exaggerated, obstinate, or prejudiced), then there's a defence...

Some Feedback from Les on SBT Leagal Action

Just to go back to the letter, were I the trust I'd be minded to take this approach: Contact the Guardian, and see if they stand by their article. I note that at this moment in time they have neither taken down the article nor inserted/added any correction. At the same time, I'd send Speechly...

The minutes from the Supporters Consultative Group meeting on December 4th

I'm well up for safe standing, it's just that it's nowhere near happening yet - if ever. http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2013/nov/30/bristol-city-safe-standing-british-football-grounds The problem is that to me this all looks about as well thought through as the overall plan to build...

    Tim says sorry

Apology my arse. More bullshit plus a cheap dig that does nothing to help any possible negotiation. 'Staying out of the spotlight'?! In any other business in the country he'd be on the dole queue for mismanaging his company into administration and liquidation, to say nothing of reducing its...

"Name Your Price" says Ann Lucas

Offering £4m is taking the piss, frankly. The widely quoted £6.4m was the worst-case value of the leaseholder, ACL, when under distress from the rent strike, and before they'd started to put together a post-CCFC plan. It's nothing to do with the value of the freehold and the land, and it's...

In your opinion. Have you a single bit of evidence for this? I don't doubt you're quite fond of your opinion, but it doesn't excuse your stating it as a fact. Again.
