They will but that optimism will still be there. Same with Leeds and Southampton. id imagine they recoup something like 100m in selling players so I expect them to reset well - they’ve got people like Dewsbury-Hall who is a good player at this level. Premier League thread

It’s all talk- think I read somewhere in terms of honours they’re the 6th most successful team since the turn of the century. When the dust settles, they’ll outsell us expecting a canter to the championship title

    Dabo released

I’d genuinely keep him for 1 more year. Has been a great player and the key point is if he could stay fit he would be a decent squad player. Forgetting what happened Saturday he’s been a great servant to the club and was vital to getting us promoted to the Championship

    Premier League thread

My mate has said similar his exact words “90% of that shower of shite will be gone” reckons they’ve just signed ageing players up to long term high wage deals. bit dramatic like - but said he wouldn’t be surprised if they were fighting off relegation next season. Can’t see that myself - be...

there’s still no need to be so precious, it’s Tongue in cheek. I’m sure we’d have done similar if we’d have won. football fans are ok with banter as long as they’re not on the receiving end.

Fucking hell mate. If your biggest problem is Dabo missing from 12 yards out your life is class footballers miss penalties. He’s a right back who had the balls to step up in one of the highest pressure games in world football in front of 40,000 people wanting you to miss. it was a shit pen...

    VAR

The rules have changed to let play go on, ultimately it’s quicker to disallow a goal rather than pull play back.

Coventry City v Luton Town - Championship playoff final - 27th May 2023 - Wembley Stadium

Valid point. Suppose you can just turn that off at home. For me it sort of tuned out. It’s that sinking feeling when you know you lost

Coventry City v Luton Town - Championship playoff final - 27th May 2023 - Wembley Stadium

Agreed. Fucking atmosphere after Dabo missed was horrendous, still doesn’t make it any worse than sitting at home watching it
