Although he gets lots of criticism by some, Liam Kelly is defensively astute and would be perfect in this game.

He can't start second half with the same personnel surely?

The quality is miles apart. Some really sloppy passing. Sheaf and Doyle the only ones that are playing well.

    Rose & Mcfadz

Supposedly Rose is one of the quickest players at the club. Has to be an asset if he can get consistency through regular game time.

Unless they do manage to pull some decent frees out the bag, I have totally changed my season's expectations. If we stay up and keep the management team we will have done well.

I agree in one sense re Godden. However, the thing with him is even when he is not involved / playing well, he is the most likely to finish a chance. Imagine taking him off and then getting awarded a penalty. He is the only one I would trust to put it away.

I am sure I remember the plan was to have greater depth to the squad?! We have let 3 centre backs go (4 with JCS loan return) and brought in 2 loans. A couple of injuries or suspensions and we are screwed.

You would have thought we would have sorted a loan move for one of our 5 keepers!

Bidwell hit the woodwork twice and had a diving header cleared off the line!

Doesn't anybody notice the work he does off the ball. Without O'Hare we need his work.

Eccles has a cracking long ball in his locker, as he used early on to put Gyokeres away. He just needs to not let his head drop, seen when he didn't best first man with a cross. There are enough fans getting on his back without him joining them.

Don't think Hamer would have survived a yellow or more in that game. There is definitely an edge to it.

Wilson has done well apart that moment of madness. Hopefully that bit of luck will prove positively decisive

Final passing has been dreadful. All this extra coaching time does not show at all. Bidwell and Doyle the pick of the bunch.

It does give opportunities for players to stake their claim. Just surprised there are so many.

A number of surprises. I remember last season though questioning his team selection and we went on to play really well. Hopefully the same tonight. Maybe Hamer is on the bench in case there is a last minute bid?

No it was Alabi. I see ccfc.co.uk says it was Hall but it wasn't.

Match Thread u21s v Charlton Athletic

Tayo's end product was poor. However, he put a perfect ball through for Costello's chance. I would have hoped that Howley would assert himself at this level but I didn't see that, particularly first half. Although Charlton were a young team, they had some decent players. Kamara and Mitchell I...

Although Adaramola clearly is not the complete player, he certainly has attributes that can cause opposition problems. He just needs experience to help his positional sense and decision making - like most players his age. I cannot see him as a starter anytime soon but do think he could be...
